He concluded that the installation of 9 steel pilings was needed and recommended a couple of contractors, including Accurate Foundation Repair. I contacted AGR through Angie's List and they called back the next day to schedule an appointment at my home. After a walk through with the sales rep, I received a thorough explanation of the job and a fair cost estimate so we hired them for the job. Their crew was showed up as scheduled and was very polite. They waited for the engineer that I hired separately before lifting the house. The cracks closed after the house was lifted. A couple of weeks later, they sent a plumber to conduct a leak test. All went great."

"Our house was built in 2006 and over the past 10 year, several of our neighbors have had cracked driveways and foundation issues. Within the first 5 years, we'd noticed minor cracks running north/south through the house and feared there was a larger issue in the foundation. After reading reviews on several foundation repair companies, we scheduled an evaluation with G.L. Hunt because people were saying they were impressed with their service and those that had repairs done were pleased with the results. We were scheduled for an 8a to 10a time slot and Justin Brits arrived right at 8a. He asked us a lot of questions to get a good understanding of our concerns. He then mapped our floor plan measuring each room's dimensions. Marking the center of our house as zero, Justin then measured throughout and into every corner to see where the foundation may have raised or lowered over time. It was really cool to see the measurements across our floor plan and learned the SE corner of our house was an inch higher than the NW. He then walked around the outside showing us cracks and signs of settling. Justin wasn't trying to sell us anything. He was focused on giving us detailed data on the status of our foundation and letting us know if there was the potential of future issues. He went over several things homeowners can do to prevent future foundation problems. We feel much better about the state of our foundation. It was time well spent and Justin gave us the information and education we needed. Should we have any future issues, we'll definitely call Justin with G.L. Hunt Foundation Repair."

"We asked for our garden to be spruced up before putting the house on the market. Mike seemed very sure of what needed to be done. 
Punctuality was great, the job itself was completed OK but definitely not perfect. The small flagstone area that the crew put in in front of the garden gate has been wobbly from the start. The flowers and caladiums that were planted looked OK but we don't feel that much thought was given to the overall design nor the placement of the plants in terms of shade/sun. Consequently some of the plants that are shade plants have started to suffer from exposure to too much sun in the location they were put in.
This was a run-of-the-mill approach with and emphasis on a quick fix only. Quite a few things that Mike said would be done were not done - the crepe myrtles in the front were not pruned, and a few container plants he said would be used in the landscaping were not used.
What really bothered us was that he sent his bill by email when his workers were still here putting in plants. This was the fastest invoice we have ever received! But it was in keeping with the overall approach. If I had to describe this job I would say it looked OK in some places for 4 weeks, and I guess it helped getting the house sold but I would not use this company again as their approach was quite unimaginative and a bit careless overall.
However if you need a quick fix I would recommend them. Just not for a longer term effect.
