"Armondo and his crew did a fantastic job for a very reasonable price. He removed a 23 year old tree that had roots going under the house. You would never know a tree had been there. Cut, grind and clean up. Great crew! Thank you"

Organic Lawn Top Dressing & Organic Lawn Fertilization. I started this company to offer an organic, safe lawn application that really gets results. Using our specialized spreaders we spread wonderful rich compost to build your soil in your lawn and landscape. Compost improves the structure and texture of the soil enabling it to better retain nutrients, moisture, and air for the stronger, healthier plants. This organic matter feeds the soil microbes that are vital for good diverse soil environment. Compost helps to control diseases and insects that might otherwise overrun a more sterile soil lacking natural checks against their spread. Compost can save lots of money too - reducing costs of replacing sod and plants, use less water, reduce cost of herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers. Results may vary due to turf and soil conditions. Most people see their turf thicken & bare spots fill in. It usually take a few weeks to begin to see results. Gradually compaction lessens and the soil may even feel softer. Watering needs should go down 30%. When we seed at the same time as top dressing we usually have a good stand of grass in 3 weeks. See our videos on Youtube as well.\nWebsite: https://www.earthkindservices.com

"They came the day the same day I called but the tree was diagnosed with oak wilt but it was not oak wilt. Paul said it was ok to keep some of the logs to burn but THAT WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA! A few weeks after leaving me with the logs, they were covered with piles of saw dust. The logs were infested with a bug we discovered as oak bore, brown with a metallic underside. I was charged $600 but left with a MESS!!! They never came back to pick up the logs so we ended up soaking them in a very potent pesticide and disposing of them ourselves. I will not use this service again."

"As usual, Mr. Sosa and his team did a wonderful job for us. We had over 10 diseased trees removed from our property, all over 30ft high. Additionally, we had a major tree trimming job performed on the rest of the mature growth trees on our multiple acre property which had not been properly maintained for one, maybe two, decades. The job required expert care and professional judgement the entire time as many of these trees have grown over the cedar shake roof on both my house and barn. Mr. Sosa's team were punctual on all three days and maintained cleanliness of the work sites when finished. The asked for my inspection and approval before leaving each day, and made it a point to regularly check in with me before addressing difficult portions of the job (e.g., trimming overhangs onto my neighbor's property). I will continue to use Sosa Tree Service on a regular basis and recommend him with confidence. I once again give them top marks for all review categories."

"I had a fairly large walnut tree and a smaller elm come down in a storm. I reached out to a number of different tree companies and Monster was only one of Three that actually came out to even give an estimate. Another company asked for pictures to do their estimate off of and never contacted me back and another did respond to let me know they didn't service my area. So.. was happy that Monster sent an actual person out. While I had not idea of the cost, which is always more than you think it is going to be, I was ok with paying it since the Walnut tree was pretty big. On the day the crew came out they were great. They had both trees taken care of in no time. They even cut off a couple sections for a friend of mine who is doing wood work. I would recommend Monster Tree service to anyone and I'm actually planning to use them again this winter to clear some dead wood out."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

If it’s only a smaller branch that has died and you’re keeping an eye on the tree, it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if other nearby branches start dying off as well, or a very large branch dies, then you likely have a bigger problem. It’s time to watch for diseases and other problems and possibly get professional guidance on how to proceed.

Generally, you do not have the right to take fruit from a neighbor's tree, even if the branches overhang your property. The fruit is considered the property of the tree's owner. While you may have the right to trim branches that cross into your yard, the fruit on them typically still belongs to your neighbor. However, laws can vary by state and municipality. In some areas, branches that extend into your yard or trees that straddle a property line may entitle you to some of the fruit. The best course of action is to speak with your neighbor, as they may be happy to share. If a conversation is not possible, check your local regulations before picking any fruit.

It can take anywhere from one month to a couple of years for tree roots to grow back in sewer lines. Tree roots can cause extreme havoc on your sewer lines, potentially cracking them and causing untreated wastewater to make its way into the groundwater. Have a landscaping pro remove trees and roots before installing your system, or call a pro to do it retroactively as soon as you can.

Unfortunately, palm tree stumps are one of the most difficult types to remove due to how their roots grow. Unlike other trees, palm tree roots grow horizontally and vertically. Palm tree roots grow as deep as three feet into the ground, although soil and growing conditions could mean they go as far as 50 inches into the earth.

If you want to be able to repurpose the grass in the area where you removed a stump later, you’ll have to dig quite deep—and perhaps wide—to trim away all the roots.

A pro can guide you on the alternatives to tree topping depending on the specific issues within your trees. For example, if you’re dealing with breakage and cracks in your tree, they may suggest canopy reduction, which removes less than 25% of the tree’s limbs. If you’re dealing with lesser damage, some intentional pruning may be all you need. If you’re looking to get a clearer view through your tree, the pro may also try windowing or skirting your tree.
