I did have to have them come back and blow insulation where the crawl space to the other half of the house is located. It was understandable to have assumed we wanted it clear of insulation. "My husband had bought a Heating/Cooling System back in 08 from the company and every year since 2010 we had a issue with it.  It was a Carrier system which at the time was top of the line and highly recommended.  This year in October it wasn't worth fixing so we got a new quote for a new system from them and 2 other companies.  Price wise they were cheaper then other companies we looked into for the system we got.  They came the next morning after we said yes to put the system in.  The workers showed up late.  Then once the system was in and they turned it on, they apparently didn't do a good job of making sure insulation wasn't in the system because all vents had insulation in them and I had to clean up every room of the house.  Not happy about having to clean up their mess.  Also our house was built in 95 and the bathroom fan does not go out to the roof it only goes into the attic.  The fan is now under a board that has to stay there to have the system pass inspection.    Not happy about the fact that they didn't pay attention to what was below them when working and covered it up.  But they did come out and make sure the fan worked at a later date and had offered to replace it if it was burnt out due to their work.  Luckily it was not burnt out just dirty which caused it some issues. "

"My A/C unit had leaked onto the ceiling in the closet. A few hours after the A/C was repaired half the ceiling collapsed onto the floor of the closet. There was drywall, water and insulation everywhere. I cleaned up the mess, set up a fan and waited a few days for thing to dry out. I called Affordable Fixers, whom I have relied on many times, and Tom and Jesse came out to fix the ceiling as good as new. They gave me an estimate of $350 plus materials (about $20 worth). Once they got into the job it turned out more complicated than anticipated. There weren't any crossbeams to which to attach the drywall. It took Tom and Jesse 6 hours to fix everything, but they honored the price they had quoted me. As always they did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves. Tom and Jesse are always friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about the project they're getting into. I recommend them to all my friends and acquaintances when asked if I know a good handyman who can do pretty much everything. And do it well.
