"100 % The best tree service in DFW !!! Cannot say enough great things about this business!! We had 8 trees cut down and 10 others trimmed back from the house. The price was right and they accomplished everything that they promised us and went above and over beyond in the process!! They trimmed back all of the trees beautifully and every single tree that was cut down the remaining stumps were grinded down !! They cleaned up the yard and everything was hauled off !! blew of my entire roof and gutters.. Great work Y'all and a Quality job !! ð ð"

"I would highly recommend working with Abel and Sons for all your Tree Service needs. I had several overgrown trees that they were able to trim professionally and in a timely manner. Scheduling the project was almost immediate and the price overall on the project was extremely fair. I happy with the results from the project and think the trees look great!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The amount of time it takes for a tree trunk to rot depends on several factors, including the tree’s size, species, and environmental conditions. It can take anywhere from a few years to several decades for a tree’s trunk to rot. A tree stump, on the other hand, can take up to 10 years to disappear after it’s decayed naturally.

Peach trees grow to be about 25 feet, so keep this in mind for pruning as well. If you plan to DIY, you’ll need to be comfortable working on a ladder. Without pruning, peach tree branches can sprawl nearly as wide as the tree grows tall, so make sure to plan pruning sessions at least once per year in the spring for controlled growth. And if you’re working on a ladder, be sure to follow all safety precautions, especially if you’ll be dealing with falling branches.

Pruning is an effective way to prevent a diseased branch from infecting the rest of the tree. If the infection isn’t caught early enough and the pathogen has spread to the trunk or the majority of the branches though, it is too late to prune off the affected areas and you’ll likely need to remove the tree.

You need to remove all branches affected by Dutch elm disease. If your tree has several affected branches, you will probably need to remove the entire tree. First, consult a pro to be sure that you’ve correctly identified it as an elm tree. Make sure the tree is properly disposed of with a plastic covering or through debarking, chipping, or burning.

Steer clear of the area and contact your utility company immediately. It will have a website portal and/or a phone number to report downed trees and electrical issues. If the tree appears to be on public land, you may want to call your local government and report the issue there, too.
