"Excellent tree removal service from start to finish. Friendly customer service, excellent communication, scheduling was easy, the crew arrived when expected, and they were clearly very skilled at what they do. The guys made removing the 5 trees on my property look easy and sometimes even fun! They worked very efficiently and the clean up was great. They even showed up the next day to trim a massive tree on my neighbor’s property. Highly recommend this company!!!"

"The City of Plano sent me a letter requesting that I trim my two large live oaks to meet city ordinances so I put out a request on HomeAdvisor. Jose with JV Tree Service gave me a call and came out that same evening to start the project. He and his crew member returned the next morning to finish their work. They did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again especially based on how quick they got the work done."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In Plano, frequent droughts and intense summer heat can weaken trees, making them more susceptible to storm damage and disease. Severe spring storms often cause limb breakage or uprooting, so emergency tree removal is common. Schedule major pruning or tree trimming in late fall through early spring to avoid heat stress. Always consider local weather patterns when planning tree care to protect both trees and property.

Helpful?

In Plano, schedule annual tree health inspections before storm season to catch early signs of disease or structural issues. Prune trees during dormancy for best results, and provide deep watering during dry periods. Watch for pests like borers and scale, and avoid pruning oaks in late winter or spring to reduce oak wilt risk. Newly planted trees need consistent watering and mulching for several years to establish strong roots.

Helpful?

After tree service in Plano, water trees deeply to help them recover from pruning or removal, especially during hot spells. Apply mulch to stabilize soil temperature and retain moisture. Check for signs of stress, such as wilting or leaf discoloration, and clear away leftover debris. If you had stump grinding, level the area and improve drainage to prevent water pooling or soil compaction.

Helpful?

In Plano, address hazardous situations like split trunks, uprooted trees, or branches tangled in power lines right away. Signs of oak wilt or pest infestations also require prompt attention. For routine pruning or non-urgent removals, wait until late fall or winter when trees are dormant. After major storms or drought, inspect trees for hidden damage to decide if immediate action is needed.

Helpful?

In Plano, clay soil can cause tree roots to shift and impact foundations, driveways, or underground utilities. Before starting stump grinding or planting, assess root locations and proximity to irrigation or drainage systems. Overhanging branches may clog gutters or damage roofing during storms. Always evaluate how tree removal or pruning could alter soil moisture, potentially affecting your home’s foundation and landscape drainage.
