Organic Lawn Top Dressing & Organic Lawn Fertilization. I started this company to offer an organic, safe lawn application that really gets results. Using our specialized spreaders we spread wonderful rich compost to build your soil in your lawn and landscape. Compost improves the structure and texture of the soil enabling it to better retain nutrients, moisture, and air for the stronger, healthier plants. This organic matter feeds the soil microbes that are vital for good diverse soil environment. Compost helps to control diseases and insects that might otherwise overrun a more sterile soil lacking natural checks against their spread. Compost can save lots of money too - reducing costs of replacing sod and plants, use less water, reduce cost of herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers. Results may vary due to turf and soil conditions. Most people see their turf thicken & bare spots fill in. It usually take a few weeks to begin to see results. Gradually compaction lessens and the soil may even feel softer. Watering needs should go down 30%. When we seed at the same time as top dressing we usually have a good stand of grass in 3 weeks. See our videos on Youtube as well. We build healthy soil by our Lawn Top Dressing with Organic Compost and Organic Lawn Fertilization program. Most issues in the landscape start with poor, weak soil. Using our specialized spreaders we spread an even layer of rich compost over lawns. Ankle twisters in your lawn...we also do lawn leveling with a turf blend of sand and compost. Our complete soil nutrition consists of 1 top dressing per year and 4 seasonal organic lawn fertilizations per year. "Mrs [Member Name Removed] Thank you for your input. Our main service we provide is top dressing with compost which is less expensive than leveling with a soil/compost mix. Since we did not do any work for you let me assure you that your estimate was for leveling with a high quality soil/compost blend that is much better for the health of the soil than plain dirt. The price was $1100 to level 3500 square feet with 6 cubic yards of soil mix. For leveling lawns we charge a standard flat rate for each cubic yard of soil delivered and spread. If there is a budget to meet - we can do less area to accommodate that."
In my phone conversation with Beau, he answered all of my questions to my full satisfaction (and there were a lot of questions).
We agreed on what we felt would be the best solution for my lawn's health. We then agreed on the price quoted.
Beau arranged with me to come apply the organic topdressing to my lawn the morning after my lawn would be mowed (one week later). This was to allow the most time available for the topdressing to get established in the lawn before the next required mowing.
I was not able to be at home during the application, but I was very pleased with the results upon my return. Beau also made sure to remove any topdressing that might have made its way onto the sidewalk and walkway/driveway, which I appreciated.
My lawn looked well covered by the agreed upon 1/2" of topdressing, with no corner bare.
As a business person and service provider, Beau is very personable, trustworthy and professional. He did exactly what he promised he would do for my lawn, at the time he promised to do so, and with the expertise that I expected he would (based on our phone conversation).
