"First of all, I found them as a "Big Deal" last year, to come out and check out my A/C unit. They were very professional. They discovered a small freon leak, added some parts, and freon, and went on their way. I was impressed, wrote a nice review, and even recommended them to my son, and his wife, who used them to check out the A/C at their new(to them) house, recently.
Well, before I could call them out for this year's check, my unit stopped blowing cold air. When they came out, it was discovered that the leak had gotten much worse, and given the cost of adding more of the old style freon(the unit was over 20 years old), I decided to replace the unit. They showed me it would be more efficient, for my heating, if I also went with a heat pump, so I opted for that, as well. The installers were there two days later, and quickly installed both the inside, and outside units. Now after they left, I discovered a water leak. The inside unit sits right over my bathtub, and it was dripping, fairly significantly. The first attempt to fix it didn't work, so Larry and his man came out, quickly discovered the real problem, which was a blocked condensate tube, and fixed it. While they were here, they also discovered that when the unit shut off, there was an odd grinding noise, which I'd noticed, but hadn't thought much about. They made an adjustment to the fan, and voila, no noise. Of course, there was no charge for this visit, and they even waived the original service call fee. In addition, the new unit included a programmable thermostat.
Overall, I'm very impressed with Larry, and his company, and will continue to recommend them wherever possible. They are knowledgable, professional, do quality work, and when something does go wrong, they fix it as soon as possible. For any service company, it doesn't get any better than that.

"I was able to get a technician to our house within 24 hours of my call. The King Air Conditioning employee, Bruce, showed up on time. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to relate what was going on with the unit clearly and was able to fix the freon leak in the line in a timely manner. The service call was $49.95 (the other companies I called were $87) and the rest of the services were reasonable, as well. Let's face it, getting anything done to an AC unit is expensive. But, in this situation, I did not feel like I was price gouged. I would highly recommend King Air Conditioning to my Angie's List companions.

"This guy gave me my best case scenario, what I originally hoped for, but which 6 of the other 7 or so said was impossible. Specifically, that the outside a/c unit could be replaced by itself, without having to do the air handler. And of the only other guy who said this could be done - my guy was about half the price. Finally, he gave me 6 months on the quote for the air handler, if I should decided I still wanted it after the a/c was replaced. (All seems fine with the a/c after 1 month in August.) COULDN'T HAVE BEEN BETTER."
