"On April 15 the temperature fell from upper 60s to freezing. For some reason our bedroom heating unit has a problem in turning on the furnace if there is a sudden drop in temperature/pressure. Usually shutting it down and restarting solves the issue. Not this time though. We spent the night in living area were the other unit was working. In the morning I called couple of places and Select AC was the only provider to call back promptly. (This is a consistent indicator of good service. Any provider who returns your call promptly invariably ends up providing good service. ) . One of the other service providers  I called said they were taking appointments for "next friday" which was 10 days later. I appreciate the fact that they are so busy that they could not handle the volume but to suggest someone requesting a repair that they had to wait 10 days is downright silly.  In any case,  Billy (I hope I got the name right) from Select AC called me promptly and said he will look at the issue and take care of it the same day. During the day we exchanged calls to get a rough idea about the time he will come over. Billy outlined his schedule for the day and we figured he can make it more or less in the evening after 3pm. In the evening I drove back from work early to be at home at the time of service. I decided to give one more try and tried to turn on the heat. Voila! The furnace turned on without any issue. I didn't cancel the appointment as I wanted Select AC to check out the system as we did not want to get stranded again on a cold night. 
Billy was professional and courteous. He checked the systems in attic and mentioned everything was working fine. The flame sensor had carbon build up so he cleaned it. He gave some pointers for future reference and we will definitely keep that in mind if the issue arises again. I paid a total of $100 which included the service fee and Angies list discount. I felt it was an excellent price for service offered. If only all service providers provided such honest estimates and charges. We will definitely use Select AC again and recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

"Metro Air did an excellent job! I highly recommend this company, especially Ron, my technician. At first I thought i just needed Freon , then thought it was a bad capacitor, come to find out I needed a whole new outside unit. The price was on the higher end of the spectrum when I googled comparable pricing, however the customer service I received was excellent. All care was kept in keeping my home, inside and outside, clean and tidy. Ron was prompt and pleasant to work with. They work on Sundays, and came out immediately when I called with my air troubles. "When our AC went out on a Friday afternoon, we contacted our Home warranty provider who told us we would need to wait until Monday and the company they connected us to had a bad reputation. So we took matters into our own hands and contacted Rescue AC late on Friday night. We chose them due to the great reviews they have online and they lived up to them. As promised they had someone out to our house early in the day and didn't give us long ridiculous windows of time. Roman was assigned to us, called us as soon as he was on his way and arrived exactly when promised. Roman was awesome: friendly, personable and super knowledgable and help us understand not only the problem but also things to consider and think about related to condition of our AC unit and options for the future. The best part NO HARD SELL, just lots of good info. He stayed to ensure the AC was running (and we talked Star Wars and geeked out a little together while we waited) Loved the invoice form with clear, all inclusive pricing, no fine print and no "mystery" labor or service fees. We even signed up for the (no contract) year maintenance plan which paid for itself with the %15 we saved. Thank you Roman and Resuce Air for saving the day and for making it a pleasurable and satisfying experience."

"I can't say enough good things about these guys! They provided same-day service (at end of June!) when the largest AC Service provider (you would recognize their name) could not schedule an appointment less than 10 days out. On top of that, Prime AC ended up replacing a 2.5 year old system which the "largest AC Service provider" installed previously which had a 1-year labor warranty. Watch out for those 1-year labor warranties, because it means the provider has no confidence in what they are installing! Prime AC recommended a solution to address the specific needs of my problem with a ten-year warranty, parts AND LABOR! They were very thorough with the install and the system works great. I would recommend this company to anyone experiencing AC issues. They are honest, hard-working, and reasonable...nice to see that still exists in some AC companies."

"Reached out and made contact Saturday evening. Jack called me back and we discussed my ac issues. Jack arrived promptly on time Sunday morning. Tested the ac system, installed the new part and recommended adding coolant. After adding coolant, he spent the time to check multiple rooms and gave us a fair price. Very satisfied!"

"They were expensive. Took my ladder, had to call several times to pick up leftover parts. Ducts had never been cleaned, so generally happy with the results. When my ac guy checked my system he said I should consider cleaning my air handler out, so don?t know if they did well, or ac guy was attempting up sell."
