Roofing & More was the highest and the most high pressure.

We could have lived without the 1.5 hour presentation.

After we said we needed to think about it,

we felt even more pressure.

Also, if you do use them,

they will come down in price.



We felt like we were at a car dealer.

Talk about talking to a manger.

BTW: We no longer deal with car dealers directly.



I am sure they do good work, but TOO MUCH PRESSURE!!

"Augustine Roofing was recommended by our Travelers Ins adjuster to replace our roof and siding due to weather damage. I initially dealt with Dakota Biller to plan the work and select the materials. This guy is exceptionally professional in all aspects of ensuring that our questions were answered in a timely manner. I also dealt with Tony Kerr in their office and he was equally professional. The crew finished the roof job late in the evening and returned the next day to ensure the site was cleaned and remaining repairs were done. "Rich was amazing. This job was very difficult. Because of the configuration of my house, there was only one spot in the closet where the tube would go thru. Another contractor told me that the job was impossible, because of obstables both between closet floor and dining room ceiling and closet ceiling and roof. Rich managed to install the Solatube and avoid all the obstacles. It was really amazing what he was able to do. I am not easily impressed with contractors, but Rich was great. He is clearly an expert in his trade."

"We bought our house in 2012 in Montgomery County, MD. The roof was past its design life when we bought the place, and although there were no signs of leaks, we decided to put a new roof on the house in 2016 - better to get it done before problems arise than after. Central was great. I forgot to move my car out of the driveway the morning they were scheduled to start work but they managed to make things work anyway. My handyman happened to stop by while they were working and told me it looked like they knew what they were doing, which was comforting. The real proof, though, is my roof has been on the house for 4 years, including the wettest year on record here in the DC area, with no signs of leaks anywhere in the house. This may not seem impressive - roofs aren't supposed to leak. However, both my sister and parents have had new roofs put on their houses in the intervening years - they live several States away so could not use Central Exteriors. Both had leak issues after having the new roofs put on and had to have the roofer come back out to fix things - in my sister's case it took several return visits and some major work to make things right. Central Exteriors were price competitive with other roofing companies I consulted with, and gave me a 50 year warranty on the shingles and workmanship, which nobody else offered. I would not hesitate to hire them again. Very pleased."

"We received a drive-by visit in early September from Presidential Exteriors canvassing the neighborhood and while we knew we were living on borrowed time, with our roof last replaced before 1991, we don't do business with companies we don't know and trust. In this case I said no thank you, and the canvasser made a last comment that struck a chord, to look them up online. After checking their references, even though a fairly new company, they had very positive feedback in Angie's List. I then called and made an appointment and my wife and I were impressed with the salesperson, Ben (we've never had someone climb around the unfinished attic in completing their assessment) for his knowledge, genuineness, detail, and approach, and we signed a contract to renovate our roofing with architectural tiles and to install wider gutters (all in preparation for global warming). Over two days, the crew of two performed an amazing job at removing multiple layers of very old shingles (resulting in less full shingles being removed, and mostly partially torn pieces) and the care and cleanup left the full area around the house and bushes almost clean. Understandably, with any re-roofing I cannot imagine you wouldn't have some small amount of cleanup and a few full handfuls of nails and staples over the following months. In our case, in the subsequent week we have found over 60 nails so far using our own magnetic broom (purchased at Home Depot). The third day found the crew finishing the roofing and the other contractors arriving to remove and install the new gutters. So far, the new roof and rain gutters look great and we're cautiously awaiting the approaching storm season."
