Over a year has passed since I completed the agreed-upon work while working for the Atlas Roofing contractor, I have yet to receive the payment owed to me. Despite my efforts to resolve the matter, the contractor not only refused to pay me but also threatened me with weapons to physically hurt me. This has not only caused me financial hardship but has also left me feeling unsafe and threatened. He claimed since I have no Contractor License or insurance he would simple screw me over like he’s done for many years with his Hispanic workers he hires under the table. I believe this is such an unfortunate situation and unfair to all the other of us his workers he’s done this. My mistake was that I relied on Atlas Roofing for their professionalism and integrity, only to be met with unfulfilled promises and financial strain.

Great experience with Ed and his crews. I chose them after getting five other estimates - four of them for pretty much identical materials. The job consisted of a full removal down to sheathing, replacing some sheeting, and building up the new asphalt shingle roof, including removing an attic fan and installing ridge vents. The house is a split level with a back porch and carport, so there are three separate roof sections. Getting the estimate took longer than other companies. They only did them on Saturdays. Their lead roofer works on installations Mon-Fri, and the weather pushed it another weekend. Overall it was worth the wait because Ed and two crews came out and had the entire roof completed from start to finish in six hours. Communication with Ed via email was easy and responsive. We've been living with the new roof for four months without issues. I have only found one roofing nail in the yard, too, so they did a great job on cleanup—no reservations in recommending this company.

Atlas Roofing is completely first class and I cannot recommend them any more highly. They just replaced my roof and gutters and the entire experience was outstanding from beginning to end. Ed, the owner, is extremely attentive to detail and made sure all of my concerns were addressed. Atlas Roofing is absolutely tops!

Work was done as described, very professional and neat. Excellent communication with Owner and staff. Detailed description of work to be performed and options concerning different types of shingles in the estimate provided by Atlas not found in other roofers I considered.

Loved Atlas Roofing and will recommend the company to anyone who needs a new roof. Job was started at 7 in the morning and completed by 2Pm the same day. After completion, there was not a nail or shingle on the ground - a perfect clean-up job.

Everything went smoothly. The work was done efficiently and quickly. The clean-up was complete. The crew was very professional and courteous. The owner was very cooperative about scheduling and very responsive when I had questions. There's no hard sell.

Installation took one day. Some roof tiles came loose during high winds, repair was made within 1-2 days. I had gotten about 4 estimates, which were all about the same. Atlas was a few hundred dollars over the highest estimate (although its price also included the shed and overhang roofing).

Fabulous. Ed knows his business, is responsive, and his crews are not day crews. Ed only has a couple of crews and he personally oversees the work at every site. One of the few really good construction experiences I've had.

Could not have gone better! Owner Ed gave a detailed estimate covering all the bases and gave me options/prices for various materials so I could choose the one that worked best for me. He offered good advice, and I felt very confident in him and his team. They arrived en masse in the morning, and by the afternoon I had a new roof in place! The workmanship, including cleanup, was outstanding - his crew worked like a well-oiled machine, and they all seemed very confident and competent in what they were doing. Ed has his own contracted crews and does not use day laborers, and they were all friendly and accommodating. Ed was considerate about my timeline and made sure my roof was completed within the time frame I requested. After the job was finished, Ed personally came by to inspect it to make sure it met with his expectations, which I believe he does with all of his jobs. So far I've had no problems with the roof and am not expecting any, but I know that sometimes problems do arise, and I know from others' experiences that Ed provides excellent follow-up service if needed. His labor warranty is also 10 years, as opposed to 5 years or less for most other companies. In short, I highly recommend Atlas Roofing and Ed and thank him for a job well done!

We have the best roof we've had in our 40+ years in this house, thanks to Ed Vander Hoeven, owner of Atlas Roofing.  Our house is warmer in the winter, and we anticipate it will be cooler in summer, based on an early taste of warm weather earlier this spring.  He is one of the two best contractors we've ever used.  He communicates clearly, both in person and via email, and responds promptly to any calls. He's knowledgeable, experienced, and came highly recommended by friends.  
Ed's price was competitive.  We had four other estimates, with a range of up to $4k difference, and each estimator offered a different proposal for how to re-roof our house.  Ed's suggestion made the most sense and was at the lower end for cost.  One of the most expensive estimates was to re-roof our house exactly the way it had been done in the past, not a good option.
Our house has tongue-in-groove cathedral ceilings throughout the upstairs. In 1975, the builder put a roof over that ceiling that consisted of a felt / protective cover, 1" insulation boards, and shingles. After we bought the house, he advised us to never walk on the roof.  (What?)  Thanks to Ed and his excellent Atlas crew, we now have OSB over the entire roof, plus additional insulation.  Ed had two crews work on our house and they completed the job in one day.  He worked alongside his crews for a good part of the day.  We highly recommend Atlas Roofing.  

Ben did an complete repair including replacing the damaged plank sheathing underneath and also fixed a couple of sagging shingles.  After he finished and the job turned out to be less complicated than originally estimated, he reduced the price!  You don't see that kind of integrity much these days.  Highly recommended.

We had 3 other bids on the roof install.  Looking line by line, Atlas was NOT the least expensive but they were using quality CertainTeed shingles.  They also had a high consumer rating from another local independent review site.  That means to us that they were going to do an above average install.  What we have learned over the years in maintaining our home it is not just about buying quality products, but having them installed properly. We also upgraded from a 3 tab shingle to a 5 tab, had a ventilation system installed. The roof looks awesome and "tight".
