"From the initial estimate in December 2018 to the work being done in March 2019, this company was professional, prompt, and did quality work. They provided a very competitive estimate. And though I did not contact them to schedule the work for three months due to the federal govt. shutdown, they honored the estimate without question. Ryan and Caryl kept me informed as to when they could do the work. Their crew showed up promptly on each of the three days it took to rebuild my chimney, replace the terra-cotta liners, and install a new crown. They matched the existing brick almost perfectly. Finally, at no additional cost, at my request they even reinstalled a bath vent cover way up high on my home, which was not part of the scheduled work. "A Racoon was coming down the chimney and into the house. I hired Finest Chimney to install a chimney cap. FC arrived at the scheduled time and installed the cap in just a few minutes. The cap is stainless steel and won't rust, He also showed me pics he took while on the roof that showed where the racoon was nesting in the gutter. They installed a gasline that was done a very professional way, burying the line underground. Stephen and his team did an impeccable job, clearly explaining the pros and cons of the many options. "Best Chimney Services LLC installed a stainless-steel flue liner and a cap/damper at the top of the chimney. The finished product, from the cap/damper at the top of the chimney, down the liner in the chimney to the firebox at the bottom is picture perfect. Even the concrete crown was perfectly molded with no concrete mess anywhere. Chris Hernandez and his helper arrived on time and got right to work, putting a big tarp on the hearth and surrounding floor and plastic over nearby furniture. Tarps were also spread on the roof. When the work was finished, everything was cleaned up, including vacuuming the area around the fireplace. Chris has a number of certifications regarding all aspects of fireplaces, flues, caps, dampers, etc. and can explain in understandable terms why things are done a certain way. He and his helper certainly know what they are doing and have obviously had experience doing it. A week or so before the actual work, a thorough inspection was done . . ."

"Could have been a lot better. I really wanted to like these guys based on a lot of positive AL reviews. After the initial inspection before having chimney cleaned, I was told the liner (tile) was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. I agreed to a price estimate of $3600. Two weeks later they came to do work and two men spent an entire day, but could not insert the new liner. They said estimator did not tell them scaffolding would be needed. The next day (after being told another crew would arrive around 8AM), they showed up at 11:00 and immediately said they were going to lunch. Afterwards, they told me that the first crew was inexperienced and that they had 20 years experience doing this. After some time they told me it was highly recommended I replace the second flue liner for the furnace. They said since they were already there and had everything set up that it would be an additional $1200. After talking to the office, they decided that it couldn't be done that day, and it would instead cost me an additional $2600. I took a pass. Crew seemed very eager to leave, collect their check, and get back home. Had to move back furniture myself. As I said.....really wanted to give these guys a good review, but this was not a very pleasant experience. **UPDATE** This is a follow up to my review from 1/20/2020. I received a call from the owner (Jim) and was very pleased that he took the time to explain everything to me and was very eager to address all my concerns, including personally coming out to my house and advising me on another issue with my furnace venting that I had not known about. So, ultimately, the work done was fine and very professional and it totally changed my opinion when the owner showed such understanding and support. This is what good customer service ought to be."

"Lewis (Louis?) and his team were very responsive. They assessed what needed to be done and had an estimate before they left. They were able to address some other challenges I was facing. They cleaned the gutters (checked gutter fasteners and down spouts and added a gutter guard), installed a chimney cap, cleaned and mitigated black mold in my HVAC, installed a UV light to provide hospital quality air in the house, cleaned the fireplace and inspected the chimney. So happy with the service. I’d be happy to have them come out again for any job that I needed help with. Can’t recommend American Chimney enough and I’m so glad I found them here on Angi."
