When my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air and I couldn't reach my normal A/C repairman, I called Fry based on good reviews on Angi. It was a Monday in August and I expected to be added to a long wait list. But after giving all of my information to the office manager, she told me that someone would be at my house in 30 minutes. Two technicians arrived on time, thoroughly inspected the condenser, diagnosed the problem, discussed options with me, and quickly returned the unit to full operation. They even cleaned the condenser coils to ensure a more productive heat exchange. I'll use Fry for all of my heating, a/c, and plumbing issues in the future.

To say I'm uncomfortable dealing with HVAC issues is an understatement. With the exception of replacing filters, I prefer to have HVAC experts handle HVAC problems. Fry's employee was prompt, explained and showed me what the problem was, and took care of it very promptly. It was a professional, efficient, and courteous job without pressure tactics or selling. I will use Fry in the future for my HVAC needs.

I have not had great experience with plumbers in DC so what a relief to find Fry's. Mark and Casey did some work in my kitchen and were punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and informative. More companies need to realize that providing good service is more important to long term growth than a quick buck. So, please keep up the good work!

This company is amazing. We had a leak that we eventually identified as a crack in our cast iron drain stack. Additionally, we decided to replace our water heater given that we needed plumbers over anyway. We called Fry Plumbing and talked to Johnny who came over the next day to give us an estimate. Not only did Fry give us the lowest price estimate, they did phenomenal work and finished a very difficult job (heavy pipe, very little room to work) way faster than I would have expected. We will use Fry for all our plumbing needs in the future.

Tommy was terrific. Efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, We rent a condo from the owner and there was a reno prior to our move in. We've had numerous plumbing issues due to poor workmanship and this situation was no exception. Tommy not only determined the cause and made repair w/in an hour, he pointed out other issues that could cause future problems. We plan to to get estimates from Fry to address those before they become a crisis. Thank you!

They came out fast, fixed the problem. They were as COVID safe as could be (masks, booties on shoes, communicated over the phone). I am already talking to them about starting another project, would gladly hire again.

They were prompt, professional and gave me a work around to keep it going for a couple days while I shopped prices. They were not the cheapest quote but I felt comfortable with them and like to support business in D.C. when possible .

Initial interaction was positive, with firm responding and giving informed estimate. After call was scheduled, things went down hill. They only offered a 4 hour window 8-12:00 for a tech to arrive, causing me to take a half day off work. I called at 8:38Am to ask if they had a better idea and was told 45 minutes. I called again at 10:58 and was again told 45 minutes. I called again at 1:09pm to inform them that I’d been waiting 5 hours and they showed no regard for the cost of me taking time off work. Only at this time did they inform me that they had incorrectly scheduled my call. Service technician arrived at 1:37, well outside promised 4 hour window. Tech was courteous but did not voluntarily provide, and did not seem to be aware of, diagnostic that the office had ‘strongly recommended.’ They gave me a 5% discount for my inconvenience, which was actually funny, $7.50. I wound up taking a whole day off, which cost me hundreds.

Fantastic ? The plumber arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem (of shower handle not turning on water) as needing a faucet replacement. He had one on hand and did the work. I only paid an hour if service and the reasonably priced part. I'm glad to have my go to plumber now!!! I'd highly recommended to friends. Thanks!!!

I want the Fry Heating and Plumbing to know: "Good customer service equals repeat clients. Sending a plumber and a helper was deceptive for the first visit. Talking while client is talking is unprofessional. Recharging clients for labor is crooked." Fry Heating/Plumbing was scheduled to complete 7 jobs. I was told that they would send two guys for a job this size (not explaining that he was sending one plumber and one helper). They completed 6 jobs successfully but left an outdoor faucet broken. The job was listed on his sheet (which we checked before he began his work) and the helper installed a faucet handle. After they left, I turned on the water from inside, then turned on the outdoor faucet. Water came out and then I could not turn the faucet off. I turned the water back off from inside. I called them back to let them know so they scheduled me again 5 days later. The new plumber fixed the faucet. I was billed for the second visit. I called the office to ascertain why I was being charged for a repair (2nd visit) that the 1st plumber failed to fix. I was told that the first plumber did not charge me for the faucet in question. I expressed that time/labor was spent fixing this faucet and the 1st bill was not adjusted to adjust the labor charged (5 hours). The guy on the phone told me that the 1st plumber did not list the job on his sheet. I understood that he did not report the job (probably because I called to say it needed repairing) but his helper still spent some time on the faucet. Adjusting the list of things on the 1st job so you can bill be again for a second job was not fair. Just another company trying to get every dime they can without taking responsibility for mistakes. I paid them in full for both jobs and neither bill was adjusted for the repeat labor. DISAPPOINTED!

Thomas was on time, had the parts he needed on hand, even though he didn’t know what he would need before hand, and completed the job quickly. They charged a fair price for the work and I would definitely hire them again.

Thomas was responsive and excellent. I would definitely use these guys again. I had previously selected someone else from Angie’s list with an “A” ratings. They did not show up twice. Fry showed up same day and during time frame requested. They completely understand customer service. You won’t be disappointed.

Fry came and worked on our difficult radiator due to the boiler being above the radiator. They were able to drain the radiator and replace the leaking valve.
