"I was very impressed with Merrifield, and the owner, Jeff.  I received four quotes ranging from 3000 - 4500, and Jeff came down on the lower side.  The painter was professional and punctual - he covered all of our furniture with tarp and left every room clean when he finished the work.  He also stayed late each day (until 6:30) even when arriving at 8:30 to start the job.  The paint looks great and I am very happy with the quality of the work.  Jeff is very accessible over email and phone - it is always great to have direct contact with the owner of the company when you have a question.
However, the thing that impressed me the most was when I got nervous about lead paint (I am pregnant and we live in an old house) because they had to lightly fix the walls where there were cracks.  I called Jeff at 7:00 PM the first night of the job and he reassured me that they are lead paint certified, talked me through the wall repair process, and they would not be disturbing old paint.  He was very professional and courteous about the call.  
Given the price and professionalism, I will definitely use this company in the future and recommend them to friends/family.

"Wilber and crew were fantastic! Estimate was straightforward, understandable and prompt. Crew was on-time to start the work, brought four people and knocked it out in a day. Three things really stood out: 1. They went out of their way to take exceptional care of our home while doing the work...everything from how they closed doors to how they tarped the entire home from the front door to the room in the back of the house. 2. The quality of the work - the crew was meticulous about cleaning up the walls, ensuring all outlets were removed, mirrors removed, etc. 3. "After researching and meeting several companies, we retained 360 Painting DC late summer 2022. From the beginning, Lorna Kerr showed up prepared, knowledgeable, and confident her team could handle the job. She was responsive, engaging and made us feel like our project was priority. And, she had excellent recommendations when we were grappling with our final colors. 360 transformed our home into a beautiful, calm, oasis â inside and out. Neighbors often tell us we have the best looking house on the block. And, we still drive up and feel happy when we see the difference. We hired 360 to paint the external of our house including the deck. There was much to do â wood to remove, materials to replace, random nails, etc. yet Lornaâ s team never complained and always had solutions. "Working with Omar and his team was a pleasure. The challenge was to make sure that the window purchased/installed would be sufficiently large once opened to meet the current stringent code requirements for an escape/emergency-entrance window. The previously double hung window would not meet code. We wanted the window to be sufficiently large but not to do wholesale construction beyond what was necessary. Omar came to check the work to be done, returned to re-measure the window again, ordered/purchased/picked up the window and had a expert team of two install it. The workers had to enlarge the window opening, removing some of the cinderblock sections as well as build up the bottom of the window opening with concrete. They also installed a new attractive trim around the window on the inside of the room. During the installation, they also discovered and advised us, that the window well had to be enlarged to accommodate the window and provide an effective egress space. Omar charged only for the materials for constructing a new larger timber and gravel well. The work was done flawlessly, The advice provided was excellent. We were pleased with the transformation of the room. We are very pleased with the total results."

"I hired this company based on reviews from Angie's list.  My experience was a bit different than the A + rating they had.  The answered my call for a quote and arrived on time.  The communicated in Spanish about everything.  We all walked the house together and I pointed out everything that needed painting.  We had a discussion about the master bath, the last words I heard George senior tell me was "we can fix this".  They quoted me a price of $3400.00 and said if I got everything done at once, he would take $200.00 off.  I didn't get other quotes because I just moved in and time was a factor, so I can't really comment on price.  During the week, they dropped of a large paint sample thing to make may choices from.  They arrived early to start the two-day job, a Friday and a Saturday.  They finished the job on Saturday, as promised.  My master bath was not painted, the wood on the steps was not painted, they removed all the drapery hardware and it was tossed out apparently, they took a blind down in the master bedroom and I had to remind many times for them to fix it, they did with crazy glue.  The walls and ceiling are beautiful but the trim is horrible.  I am still painting over spots that were missed or the paint was wiped off when they cleaned the floors.  There was a quarter sized drop of paint on my maple dining room table.  There was a large spot of white trim paint on the colored wall in the hall, but worst of all I continue to clean small spots and areas where there is white paint on the oak floors. They did do me one favor and lift a TV back up above the fireplace that had been taken down for painting. They did leave all the extra paint in the basement, one bucket not closed and has a paint roller floating in it.  The worst thing was them teasing my dogs and getting them agitated and pushing each other towards them and laughing.  Overall, I don't think I had an "A" experience.  Unfortunately I would not recommend them or use them again.

"Restart his crew were able to paint my one story vinyl sided home and update it from its dingy dark yellow to a fresh Agreeable gray. He was very knowledgeable about his Sherwin Williams Preferred products and was able to convince me (a hard bargain) in a more modern refreshing update. It was a pleasure to work with him and the Crew, very punctual and I love how he feeds his crew!! Looking forward to working with him on my investment properties this spring"
