"When we purchased our 30 year-old home we loved it but knew it had to be updated, in particular the bathrooms and the kitchen area (which included the laundry and the formal dining room). The house was very compartmentalized. It had a small, hidden kitchen that was not connected to anything except for the breakfast nook. Next to the kitchen on one side there was a laundry room and on the other side there was a formal dinning room, but all of these rooms were separate. We wanted to open the whole area up as much as possible, but as we quickly realized, the project presented real structural challenges (three different ceilings and elevations, dividing walls, etc). We knew that in addition to the design aspect we had to deal with the structural aspect of the project. In order to help us with this process, we hired an structural architect who provided us with several floor plans. All of her proposals opened the kitchen somewhat but left the laundry in its original location, which meant that we could not use the entire space for the kitchen and dining room. All of her proposals had supporting beams that would interfere with the line of sight. I was not getting what I wanted and was becoming increasingly disappointed. During this process I was also talking to Mirna and Luis from Arbors and Patios, who had built a beautiful outdoor kitchen and patio for us in our previous house. When discussing the possibilities for the project Luis and Mirna began to propose great ideas that could help us deal with the issues in this complex project. I ultimately trusted them because they had done great work for us in the past and because their ideas were the best we heard so far. Luis and Mirna proposed that the laundry was relocated, and that the different ceilings were elevated and made into a single, unified ceiling. The kitchen now is open, airy and amazing. The entire space is full of light and modern! By removing the bay window and adding the panoramic window we now have fantastic views of the outdoors, we love it! I feel that hiring Arbors and Patios was the best thing we could have done for our house. For us just as important as the quality of their construction work were the ideas and insights they provided which to made our house the most beautiful and functional space possible."

"Jason as a sale manager always responded me promptly and exactly understood what I wanted and tried to achieve them. Jose and his crew completed a really good work. Materials used are all cedar wood, three 8x8 posts. They also put several curved brackets on between the posts and beam, and three-step caps on the top and the bottom of the posts, which makes the patio cover look pretty solid and also aesthetic. The gable part is attached to the existing roof above my breakfast room, and flat part is against the exterior wall of my living room. Since the roof shingles they used are exactly same as the existing roof, the cover looks like a part of my house. Overall, the patio cover they built has high quality, and the price they offered is quite competitive. I think this is really a worthwhile investment for my family, we now really enjoy the outdoor activities."

Brian and his crew were great.  I called two other companies who couldn't even come to give us a bid for several days to a couple weeks.  Brian came out and met with us the next day.  He talked with us about what he saw as problems that needed to be addressed as well as what we saw.  We also talked with him about other yard / home projects that we wanted to do and worked a deal for him to not only do the masonry work but also clear / pour a pad in our yard for a shed to be build.

 Having had our kitchen recently remolded in our home and working with a company that turned out to be less than professional, reliable or timely I was leery about hiring a company to do work on our home.  I was fearing another headache.  What I got from Brian and his crew was exactly the opposite.  The gentleman who came to work on our home showed up a day early to start the work.  They were timely throughout the job, cleaned up after themselves each day and provided us with the work we agreed upon in a very timely manner.  I would have no trouble referring Stonemastertx to any of our family or friends.  We look forward to having Brian and do future work for us as we look to landscape our yard and pool area.
