"The results of the kitchen and living room makeover we recently finished with Bay Remodeling Kitchen & Bath are amazing. The group was open and honest regarding expenses and schedules. The materials they utilize are of the highest quality, and their craftsmanship is superb. Our house has been totally changed by the makeover, and we have already recommended them to friends. "He and his crew did an outstanding job. Karol is meticulous, knowledgeable, a perfectionist and he expects the same from his team. He obviously has a great relationship with his workers and they all seem to have a great respect for him. A great formula for outstanding work. He and his crew are neat, cleanup, on time and really good guys. I’d strongly recommend Karol for any work you are considering him for. His cost is also very reasonable. He is definitely on my list of contractors that I would hire again, and whom I would recommend to my friends."

"We are very happy with this company. They have done some work at our townhouse and we are definitely hiring them for any other future renovations. It is so difficult to find a contractor you can trust and when we met Ofer, we are very pleased. He is easy to talk to and he listened to what we want to get done and worked with our budget."

"It took us time to find a contractor. We got over Six quotes only two contractors actually sent us a bid. Ben was very responsive. He sent us the quote within a week from the visit. We were very satisfied with the process. We were always in the know. We have done renovations In the past with contractors and we were always not pleased with not knowing the schedule. We finally found someone we can trust and will definitely be using him again. Thank you again Ben it was a pleasure meeting you and working with you."

"It's difficult to trust contractors these days. We had a bad experience in the past with another contractor and we were very hesitant to use one again. However, we decided to give Tech Line Construction a chance because our friend recommended them. We are so glad that we did! They painted the exterior of our house and handled a bigger project for our property. I admire how Luis always kept us in the loop and he was always available to answer our questions. We'll pass the word to our friends and family about this company. They're the real deal!"

"I chose Bluejay Nest Construction after meeting with Vanessa and Gerardo, two of the owners, to discuss my home leveling job. I live in a mobile home park and my house is on piers. They sent out a crew of two people very knowledgeable with re-leveling homes like mine. Explained all the steps and followed through at the end of the project with an update on the work done. Great results…my doors are opening and closing as they should and no more creaks when I walk on my floors."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

An A-frame home can be cheaper to build than a traditional house, but that is not always a given. Prices can be fairly similar in some cases, depending on the location, design, and necessary site preparation. Costs for an A-frame typically run between $100 to $200 per square foot, which is comparable to the cost of a traditional home. The cost of an A-frame can come in under those numbers if you opt for a prefabricated kit.

Framing a basement takes three to five days, on average, when completed by a professional, though it may take longer for a larger space. Keep in mind this doesn’t include the time to complete the design, obtain permits, and install the drywall on the framing. On average, fully finishing a basement takes an average of 45 days.

While some highly experienced homeowners can frame a house independently, it is not advisable. You will need ample carpentry experience, a team of helpers, and professionals to sign off on your work to meet local building codes. For the safest outcome, we recommend buying or building a house with the guidance of professionals.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.

For a professional carpenter, installing a window seat can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on some aspects of the project. Aside from building the seat itself, if they have to remove any cabinets, shelves, or baseboards, that will add time to the project.
