I received excellent timely service on a couple of major handyman projects from Minh at Tool Time Home improvement. [*** Link removed ***] And he had good backup from others at Tooltime. Terry the scheduler/coordinator is easy to work with and worked closely with me to understand and advise on some difficult projects. They are on the high end of handyman quotes but proved to be cost effective

They were on time, efficient, friendly and I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them. They also practiced good hygiene with Covid by wearing masks, booties and social distanced.

They told me they needed pictures. I sent them. They said they would give the info to a technician. And they’d get back to me. Then never got back to me.

Hanging the mirror took longer than estimated. Thus the cost went up.

The attic fan went very well. Troy was able to isolate and seal the flashing issue that was causing our roof leak, however after further investigation, requiring the removal of some siding, we found some more serious structural damage to the studs in the wall. This seemed to be a beyond his expertise as a 1-man job, so we opted to have him stop there and will bring in a construction contractor to make these repairs. We are very pleased with the work Troy did and would not hesitate to contact him again. We are grateful he was dedicated enough to look into the damage further, otherwise we never would have seen the interior damage.

did not go. missed first schedule appt. made anew appt. showed up a little late, spent good amount of time in my home going over what items I requested to be done, was asked to send the list to them of items I needed done, via email, did and never heard back form them. poor responsiveness and customer service.

Tool Time Home Improvement was exactly what we were looking for. Other contractors wouldn't even consider the job because it was too small, but Tool Time responded to my inquiry within a few hours, came out to check out the space a few days later, got me a quote for the work the same day, and started work the same week. We are so thankful for the good, quick work Tool Time Home Improvement provided. The workers were always prompt, communicative, tidy, and they checked everything twice to make sure it was done right. I would definitely recommend these guys, and I will be calling them again should the need arise.

I signed up on Angies list on 2/18/2017 and had the work done today. Tooltime got back to me on 2/21/2017 and we made arrangements to have the work done today. Mike from Tooltime was here at 9AM on the dot, he put the safety bars in and left the bathroom cleaner then it started. I will call on Tooltime again for more work in my home. If there were more stars to be awarded I would do that. Thank you Ivka

The technician was right on time and did a great job. We also asked him to look at an overhead light fixture where we suspected a short in the wiring, or possibly the fixture itself. Eric suggested that we consider a new LED fixture instead. He picked it up and came back the next day to install it. It's great, will never need to climb on a ladder to change bulbs again!

Great, Eric and his crew are top notch. The pocket door requires additional work, but Eric offered me a few options to choose from. He was very communicative and clear about what to do with the pocket door. I will continue to work with Eric and his team, hopefully for many years to come. It's nice to have professionals I feel I can trust.

I liked Eric a lot and he did very good work for me on a previous occasion. For this job he came out and spent a lot of time evaluating and measuring the site and was going to get back to me with an estimate. Then he disappeared with no explanation and stopped returning phone calls. I'm really disappointed that he wouldn't at least take the time to say he didn't want the job, as I wasted a lot of time waiting for him when I should have been looking for other people. Ratings below are based on only this recent experience, the first time was completely different.

Initially, there were hard to get in touch with. But once the job was scheduled, they were prompt and efficient. I was impressed with their work ethic. They were perfectly willing (and even enthusiastic) to start another item on the list at 4 PM on a Friday. Eric did most of the miscellaneous jobs but I deferred to the master plumber (Saul) for one item. All in all, it was a very positive experience.

The young man who showed up right on time was very kind, personable and professional. He worked with me to get several jobs done. I would call Tool Time Home Improvement any time I need some help. I thought that I had given a review at the time, but I seem to have missed doing so, so I'm doing it now, because I have never forgotten their help.

They seemed knowledgeable and were pleasant to work with. We never received a quote on the project, although received quotes on part of the project. We heard back from third party vendors that they hire, but we did not hear back from Tool Time. Not sure if the job was too big or too small. If the readers are wondering about the "B" grade, I am grading this time relative to their peer group.

Dave and Eric did a good job with a challenging dryer installation. They arrived on time and were very careful of my hardwood floors. Dave also replaced the spout in the upstairs bathtub. I was very happy with the results. I have used Tool Time in the past and have always been pleased. However, dealing with the bill has been problematic. Usually Eric, the owner, would come by, inspect the job, and I would pay him. Dave/Eric didn't know about the payment procedure, called the office and was told someone would call me. I was never called, tried calling, left a voicemail, then sent an e-mail, no response. After 3 weeks I sent a check for what I thought was the correct amount to the Constitution Ave address. No acknowledgement, no receipt. Last week I received an e-mail invoice for $200; I again tried to call -voicemail was full, sent an e-mail, again no response. If this business is trying to expand, this is not the way to do it. If I use them in the future, I would need to know the payment procedure and that I would receive a receipt.
