"Job was completed per request. After we pointed out our concerns, they worked with us to completion. It took slightly longer to complete, but it was well worth the wait. Many other contractors would probably walk and not address any concerns, but BeHome finished. I would strongly recommend BeHome to do your job. They are professional and friendly."

"Sky Tech Builders recently finished my kitchen renovation and I'm so glad I hired them for that project because they exceed my expectations. I also contacted some other contractors but just felt that Sky Tech is most reliable company for that work. They also gave me very acceptable offer so it was a great deal. I love my new kitchen. it looks phenomenal and it's also very functional, much more functional than before. I can't recommend enough this excellent contractor! Thank you Sky Tech Builders!"

"Eric and his EA Homebuilders team remodeled our primary bathroom, which involved moving walls, framing, plumbing, electrical, installing a tile shower, and finishes. I had never worked with them before. Their quote was competitive, their work progressed at a rapid pace, and they finished the project in the timeframe promised. There were 2 occasions where changes needed to be made and they were reasonably accommodated without any nickel-and-diming. Eric is a great communicator and is always asking the customer if they need anything. Working with a contractor for the first time is always a nervous experience, but EA Homebuilders delivered on everything, and they will be invited to bid on all of my future projects."

"We are very happy with this company. They have done some work at our townhouse and we are definitely hiring them for any other future renovations. It is so difficult to find a contractor you can trust and when we met Ofer, we are very pleased. He is easy to talk to and he listened to what we want to get done and worked with our budget."

Small jobs welcome

"Eric took over a partially completed remodeling job. The job
included framing a new floor where there had been a sunken conversation pit,
hanging doors, replacing the old baseboards and completing a wall with new drywall.
His bid was very reasonable and he completed the job quickly and efficiently. I
would use him again and I would definitely recommend him to others.

"Looking for a great contractor, don't look any further. This man is great. He might be a little higher than other contractor bids, but he doesn't miss a single thing that could cost you MORE money up the road. And, he passes inspections with flying colors. I remodeled a small master bathroom. I basically did the choosing of the shower tile, floor tile, (where Ohad took me shopping) ; accessories, and paint, with a little input of help from Ohad here and there. He's the man with the experience. Answers all your questions and give you good advise. The bathroom turned out beautiful. I couldn't love it more - I am SO happy. BUT........... The main reason for the finished project looking so great, is the workmanship. Ohad has great employees. Well experienced, on time, and clean up after themselves, AND would work with me any way they could. They ALL had a great sense of humor, including Ohad. I feel laughter is the best healer of all, and it also means you are having a good time while working.. I have COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) along with many other health problem, making dust, smoke and chemicals my worse enemies. The Ohad family really took care of me. Put up plastic to the ceiling around my bed and installed a zipper in it so that I could get to my bed. This was needed for me to rest/sleep during the day and take an oxygen treatment. They would even give me a heads up when using chemicals so I could put my mask on - which I had on a lot anyway, because of the dust. I have a lot more projects to be done..........and guess who's going to get hired???? Smile"

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

The average cost of DIY window framing is about $40 to $60 in materials. If you hire a window treatment professional, you’ll pay for materials plus labor costs—anywhere from $250 to $800 per window. The final cost is highly dependent on the window size, as larger windows are heavier and more difficult to install, as well as the type of window framing material.

You should avoid drilling or cutting into load-bearing beams because removing material will weaken it and increase the risk of structural damage or even collapse. If you do need to drill into a load-bearing beam, speak with a structural engineer first to discuss where it’s safest to drill and the width and depth of the bit that’s safe to use.

Metal stud framing parts include the studs themselves, upper and lower tracks that act as top and bottom wall plates, various angle fasteners and clips, screws for fastening pieces togeher, metal straps, c-channel supports, and thicker steel supporting structures. Roof framing metal components include pre-fabricated trusses, heavy-gauge stud pieces, and various plates and fasteners.

Yes, most services include necessary frame modifications for proper door fitting. Confirm with your provider.

Yes, you can find ceiling joists using simple tools if a stud finder isn't available.

Using a hammer requires patience and a keen ear. Gently tap the ceiling in a grid pattern, listening for sound changes. A hollow sound indicates space between joists, while a solid, dull thud suggests a joist. Mark the location with a pencil and confirm by tapping from different angles.

Alternatively, you can use a nail, but this method will leave small holes. You'll feel increased resistance when the nail hits a joist. Mark the spot and repeat the process every 16 or 24 inches to map the joist locations. This method is considered less reliable than using a stud finder.
