"They had a fabulous product to choose from. I felt the price was competitive. They have been in business for a long time and  they were recommended to me. I thought the office was very helpful and called me every few days to let me know the status of the shipment. Installation was perfect and the results were great. I could not get the shade to go up and down and they got back to me right away and they were very responsive."

Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

Many kinds of window screens, such as solar screens, are designed to reduce the amount of harmful ultraviolet rays that pass through them and enter your home. The materials typically have UV-blocking properties. However, they may not completely eliminate all UV rays from passing through your home. Different window screens are designed for different purposes, and not all are designed to block or reduce UV rays. Do your research to make sure you’re getting the type of window screen to suit your needs.

There are a number of ways to secure windows. You can add motion detectors or window sensors to detect movement and impact or change the window locks to make them stronger. Some of the ways you can secure windows are much like how you secure a home: closing the curtains at night and setting up security cameras outside so you can monitor your property even in your absence.

Yes, you can add a screen door to most door frames. The screen should be able to fit standard-size door frames, so unless you have an unusually sized door, you shouldn’t have an issue. Just make sure to properly measure the frame. When in doubt, it’s best to let a pro take care of this task for you so it’s installed correctly.

Screen doors have a positive ROI because of their safety features. They add protection from debris, critters, and, depending on the material, even heat. However, storm doors are better than screen doors when it comes to overall protection.

A vacuum with a hose attachment or a lint roller can easily remove dust from your window screen. Pressure washing window screens is another option, but you should make sure you have the appropriate nozzle and pressure setting to avoid doing extensive damage to your window.
