"Rolando wants to provide the best results and makes excellent recommendations that you should consider and discuss. Lower cost (cheaper paints) don’t necessarily give you the best or lasting results. His team is very meticulous and does a great job in prepping and cleanup."

"Wise Painting did an excellent job painting the interior of our home as well as our kitchen cabinets. They were professional and responsive, and the paint looks perfect. Thiago and his team also helped to do some damage control on a leak in our ceiling that occurred while they were painting the house. They treated the home as if it were their own, and we couldn't be more grateful for a job well done. We'll likely be reaching out for ceiling repair in the near future... thank you, Wise Painting!"

Small jobs welcome

"I hired Precise Touch to paint my cedar picket fence. They did a great job! Fernando visited me first to provide some consultation. He gave advice for stains and paint, solid versus transparent, and spray versus roller/brush. He gave me a paint catalog to choose my color preference. On the day of the work, his team arrived in time. They covered all the areas to protect them from paint splatter. They cleaned and sanded the painting surface. They completed the paint job with two coats by the end of the day. They even used a leaf blower to leave the area all clean. I would definitely hire them again."

"We hired Gruber painting to paint the exterior of our home. Will was the contact person and was just wonderful to work with; He was very attentive and visited the site almost daily. Will is a professional and we were very happy to work with him. We had two painters, Cesar and Antonio. Cesar was the lead painter; his attention to detail was just amazing and met with us every day to meet our needs. Antonio communicated with a smile. Both men did excellent work and we are very happy with out paint job. We would recommend Will, Cesar and Antonio to anyone needing a paint job."

"It went GREAT! Scott was absolutely wonderful. His work is impeccable! He covered everything before he started - floors, furniture, etc. I was amazed. I would have had more paint on me than on the walls. It looks great. I wish I had known about him when I had my home painted years ago. Love his work! I will definitely hire him again."

Painting questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood to help prevent the boards from cracking. However, you must wait for the wood to dry out completely before applying any finish. Freshly treated wood can take weeks or even months to dry; a common recommendation is to wait three to six months. To check if the wood is ready, perform a simple water test: drip some water onto the surface. If the water beads up, the wood is still too wet and needs more time to dry. If the wood absorbs the water, it is dry enough to be painted or stained. You can proceed with building your deck or fence while the wood is still wet, but you will need to wait to apply the paint or stain.

Yes, you can waterproof any wood that has not already been treated. A good way to test this is to splash some water on it. If the water starts to bead up, the wood is treated and most likely doesn’t need another coating.

If possible, it is beneficial to paint both sides of your fence to protect the fence more completely from the elements. Painting both sides of your fence will create a more consistent appearance as well. However, the time and cost involved in painting both sides of the fence may cause people to paint only the side they see.

You should repaint your fence every 1 to 3 years, depending on the appearance of wear and tear. Weather and usage will factor into how often you should paint another coat on your fence. If you need to replace a few fence boards or posts, you may want to consider repainting the fence to help protect the rest of the fence as well as the new pieces against damage and deterioration from being exposed to the elements.

Adding a second coat of stain to wood can even out the color to some extent, but it won't drastically alter the hue if the initial application is too light or too dark. It's more effective at enhancing the richness of the color rather than significantly changing it. Ensure the first coat is dry before applying the second.
