Batt, Rolled or Reflective Insulation Install or Upgrade
If you need your attic thoroughly prepped for new insulation and want quality work, do NOT hire Jarice Ray Cartwright, dba CARTWRIGHT Contractors AND dba 1xx Cxxxxx Cxxxxxxxxx He SUPPOSEDLY finished removing old batt insulation, installed radiant barrier, vacuumed, sprayed sanitizer and air-sealed. My husband and I inspected work, we found many batts remaining as well as rodent feces, 5% air-sealing done and of course sanitation he sprayed was useless. The radiant barrier had been installed to covered-up batts and dirty areas. Some barrier had to be unstapled to remove batts, clean and install electrical for new lights. After telling him about what was remaining, he came back removed SOME batts and did SOME vacuuming, he said he would complete the air-sealing and radiant barrier on the day of blowing in R49 fiberglass (18 inches). Upon our 2nd inspection, batts and feces still present. We were installing 37 lights and therefore needed everything removed and cleaned. My husband and I had to remove remaining insulation, vacuum entire attic, sanitize and complete air-sealing. We did not trust air-sealing would be done as he stated. Should have NEVER, NEVER had him return. Day-of-insulation: No attempt to air-seal (which we completed). Radiant barrier sloppily and incorrectly placed and installed, TAPED in some areas. No insulation blown within 2 feet of soffit bays. No insulation coverage on 30% of dining room. No insulation blown between two skylights. No insulation blown over master bathroom. No insulation dams around (2) attic accesses. NO rulers installed to gauge depth (purchased R49=18 inches). No certificate issued stating type, R value, # of bags. We have 11-14 inches throughout attic, low and high areas, and two different brands of insulation as there is pink and white products.. So if you want a professional with integrity and get what you pay for, do NOT hire. Too bad I cannot post photos on here in response to Mr. Jarice Ray Cartwrightâ s response to my review.

Ray and his team brought our house to livable condition when we first moved in on January 6th during the freeze. His team insulated our attic and our post and pier foundation a couple of days later. He saved us we were freezing in here and the heater couldnâ t keep up. Ray took such good care of us. Hire this man!
