I would highly recommend people get other quotes before using these guys. I got a unit through them 10 years ago and overall everything has been fine. I had them out twice a year for maintenance and they always try to push extra options and products that seem wildly overpriced, but most of the techs aren’t that pushy. However, I called out two other companies to see about quotes for a new system because it’s struggling and was told that mine is a great system and should still be working fine, but it was poorly installed. The attic unit wasn’t leveled so that it’s draining towards the coil, the coil looked like it had been pried open with a screwdriver and is leaking, and it’s a 2 stage unit that they didn’t bother to run wiring for so it’s been operating as a 1 stage unit for 10 years. The guys saw this in less than half an hour but no one caught from A#1 in well over 20 visits. I called them and was told that the “house may have settled” causing the un-level unit and broken coil and that it must have been fine before that because it’s been working for 10 years. Funny that my house only settled in the attic.

Their visit was primarily a sales pitch. After their 'ac check' they tried to sell me over $16,000 in repairs to include removing and replacing my a/c/heating unit to make it easier for them to change the air filter, and removing and replacing the insulation in the attic. I've owned this home for 45 years. I have the a/c and heating units checked every year. I don't remember a year they didn't add coolant. They didn't even check it. I'm having to have another company out to check it . As to the attic insulation, I recently added insulation so I have 12-13 inches. They found a place someone had stepped in the insulation and used that as their measurement. I would not hire A#!Air for any work nor could I recommend them.

Very expensive! They service our AC through their Maintenance Contract which we’re now not extending. Here is why… they are so over priced. My husband gave our friends their name when they needed at new hot water heater. They were charged $2,711 to replace a $700 and change tank with a 10 year manufacturer warranty. They told us that they are positive they were ripped off. So that’s just under $2,000 labor! Knowing this we would NEVER get an AC replaced through them or anything else! I can’t find my review from this morning but I can cut and paste from my notes where I saved it! So Roxie answers the review I wrote this morning saying she’s sorry and to call them direct and talk to their customer relations team. My friend calls and Roxie doesn’t budge on giving them any of the almost $2,000 labor fee back for replacing a hot water heater. Thus giving the impression on Yelp that A#1 Air is actually going to right this wrong! A#1 Air has no intention on refunding any money they overcharged for! Roxie knew this but gave the impression on here she’d actually do something. They don’t care and it’s outrageous! I will be writing reviews everywhere, everyday about this. Run from this company!

Trevor and Jon responded to the call the fix our air conditioner that was still blowing, but not cooling. They did a wonderful job and went over and above by cleaning the units and performing a quality check that was over due. We are club members, so the cost of service was very reasonable. Yes, we will use them again.

The installation of the furnace went okay. I purchase it from A#1 Air in February after the winter storm destroyed my old one. When I purchased it, the manager at A#1 agreed to match a competitor’s price and also give me complimentary service for all three of my air conditioning systems. But after I bought the furnace, I was surprised that they would not do the spring service until the middle of June. So in February I scheduled my spring service for the middle of June. But when June came around, they called me and rescheduled my service to closer to July. Then on the rescheduled appointment, they called to do the service three hours late. I told them that I will no longer do business with the company. A#1 has terrible customer service. You would have to be a fool to buy from this company. I have dealt with three air conditioning companies over the fifteen years I have lived in this house, and A#1 is the worst company I have ever experienced. Beware of deals that they make. They do not hold up to their word.

Worker/Technician arrived promptly, inspected situation, told me what was needed and set to work immediately upon drawing materials. From his arrival to finished job with invoice took approximately 45 minutes. Really appreciated his professionalism.

I signed an agreement with A#1 Solar company to install a solar panel on my house in the third week of August 2020. The representative of the company explained to me it would be completed within three to six weeks. Till today, Dec 20, 2020, the company is not able to finish the job. They do not have the technical skills to perform the job because they applied for the permits to the city, but the city rejected the plan several times because there were technical faults in it. They were also not able to get the permit from HOA so I reached out to HOA and the city requested them to approve the permit. Finally, they got all the approvals and they did a partial job. They install some panels on the roof of my house and said the rest would be installed on the patio later. Till to date, nothing has been done and nobody wants to explain it. Whenever I enquire about it, I am told that we would call you back with the information, but I never get a callback and the job is still unfinished. Their customer service is horrible. I called several times and every time somebody calls me back and listen to my concerns and promise to call me back but unfortunately, I never get a callback. Whenever I enquire about my questions, I get a lame excuse especially from the Manager such as I broke my phone, I called on the wrong no. He does not respond to my messages and does not pick up the phone. I requested the customer service to please get me connected with somebody at the higher post and a responsible person, but nobody listens to my request. The Company does not have enough technical knowledge about the solar panel and does not have trained staff to deal with the clients. I urge that please think several times if you are entering the business with the company. I have a very bad experience with them.

A#1 air technician did the spring tune up perfectly. No complaints about the quality of the work. However, there is quite a bit of upselling that I do not like. They recommend some systems that may or may not improve the overall efficiency of the compressor. And they try to cross sell other services like Electrical safety check. Also, my neighbor had a very large price quote for an AC Capacitor replacement with A#1 air - and when he called the supervisor, they were able to reduce the price down to a more realistic one. This to me is an orange flag.

Do not do business here! They have great sales people and do good installing new air conditioners. But after spending $34k they cannot bother to send a technician out. We have waited two days because the new units are not cooling the house down like the old units did. And all we get is a call every two hours saying that technicians are in the area and will call when they are 30 minutes out! They cannot even give us an update on where we are in a queue! Asked for a manger to call and nothing yet. Very disappointing.

The service went well. Came out 1:00 a.m. and the tech changed my capacitor to get my bad ac fan to be able to operate again, then he came back the next day with a new fan.

A#1 was the only company to help me on a Saturday and since it was just a capacitor I only paid $59.00! ( I must admit, I cried!) My a/c went out in Aug during a Friday night. Other companies were either closed or too busy to help me.. one even told me OVER THE PHONE that my entire unit would have to be replaced!! I had heard of A#1 on channel 4 news and within an hour a tech was here and the unit was repaired ?! I would recommend A#1 to anyone! Thanks, y'all!!

I'm not too proud to admit that my own ignorance got me here but this is an experience where others shouldn't have to go through. I'm happy to share my experience so that it's hopefully not repeated. First off, my 3-year-old "brand new" Daikin system is on the fritz. The outside unit is completely dry of freon. I was charged $10,694.00 for a crappy Daikin system that's only worth at best $6000. I'm still currently paying it off (financed through A#1). I asked for them to come and remove everything that A#1 installed and refund the remainder of my loan. I was told they won't do that! This is how big companies take advantage of those who don't know any better. Be smart and do your due diligence so you don't fall prey to the likes of A#1 Air. So wrong and shameful on how they conduct business!!!

Terrible. The tech came out and told me during my quarterly check up he found a freon leak, I needed a coil evaporator replacement and it would cost at least $1830. He told me it was highly urgent as the outside tubings of my AC unit were freezing over and this could be a bad situation should my unit run out of freon. When he left, my outside AC unit began to make very loud noises. I received another estimate and this person let me know there was nothing wrong my coils and I was not leaking any freon. He told me that someone unplugged a wire in my attic which would make the pipes freeze and create my AC unit making the loud noises as it feeds a signal to the outside unit. He plugged the wire back in and told me there was no need to replace a perfectly working system. I asked if it was possible if the previous tech missed the wire. He let me know that the wire sits right by the coils so either this person was not qualified to do the work or he disconnected the wire himself.
