They were honest and transparent in keeping me informed. They even did extra work in areas I did not pay for. While working on my project I had a personal crisis and Luis and his Family came over with a dozen of beautiful white roses and showed me love and compassion. I will never forget that!!! I know have the best house in the neighborhood. My neighbors tell me that all the time. My new front porch and back deck are my pride and joy; my slice of paradise here on earth. "Not Recommended for Thermostat Replacement — Unreasonable and Unfair $700 Charge I do not recommend Glenmont Air Conditioning & Heating for thermostat replacement work. I was charged $700 for a simple thermostat replacement, which I believe was unreasonably high and unfair. I was under the impression that the quoted estimate represented the maximum expected cost only if the technician had to perform additional wiring or complex installation work. If you want to install an Ecobee or any other type of thermostat, you can simply YouTube the installation, which provides step-by-step instructions on how to unwire, label, and rewire to the new thermostat. For my installation, I was under the impression that additional wiring might be needed, but it turned out to be a straightforward swap of the old thermostat with a new Ecobee unit, a process that took only about 15 minutes. Despite that, I was still charged the full amount. The Ecobee Premium thermostat itself costs around $250, meaning they charged nearly $500 just for labor, regardless of how simple or quick the installation is. To make matters worse, the installation only comes with a 30-day warranty, which hardly justifies such a high price. I tried to communicate and explain that this charge was unreasonably high and unfair, but they simply said, “It is what it is.” If you’re considering a thermostat installation, I strongly suggest hiring a professional through Thumbtack, where qualified experts can do the same job for under $150 with transparent pricing and good service. I expected fairness, honesty, and reasonable pricing from Glenmont, but unfortunately, that was not my experience."

They were unwilling to provide any detail for the price. I ended up buy the part myself for $30 and replaced it in 30 minutes."

"Worst service I’ve ever have experienced. They wanted to sell me the product, never told me that there was an early termination fee and another penalty for an initial offer they gave me. Had double charges every month, once for the oil they provided (which they never told me they were going to provide before coming. They just came without my knowledge and then I find a high amount bill) and another for an “automatic payment” for 500 that they never could explain. The didn’t even fix this issue and it kept happening every month even after I cancelled the service. Then having to call them is a hastié for the refund of the 500. Stay away of this company"

"They installed our AC system; that went fine. But several years later, when it needed repair. They came out and looked at the problem, and then ghosted me. They didn't return my multiple calls. When I finally got somebody else to come out to look at the problem, they told me that the warranty had just expired on the part that needed replacing. Putting 2 +2 together, Buric ghosted me to run out the clock on my warranty for the repair of the product they installed. Would you ever hire anybody who behaves like that???"

"It went very smoothly and quickly. The price was lower than other contractors I talked to, and the outcome was very good. Everything was done quickly, neighbors didn't complain about noise or whatnot, the place was left clean, and nothing was damaged along the way, and the result is great. Communication was very easy and on the point. I am very pleased with SM Constructions and would gladly recommend them for any job."
