We were looking for a contractor to add a second full bath to our 1890’s rowhouse. We called APX based on their online reviews. Alex came over to look at the space, discussed our needs, and talked about different approaches. My wife and I were both very impressed with the fact that he took the time to explain all the different aspects of the work, talk about different layouts and possibilities, and describe the overall process. The long and short of it is that we are thrilled with our new bathroom. Alex’s broad knowledge and careful attention to detail are shared by his entire team, from our job’s foreman to all the members of the crew. I heartily recommend APX for any construction project and would gladly work with them again.

From start to finish - Alex and team were great. Alex is very detailed, respectful, knowledgeable and truly listens. He managed to execute a beautiful remodel of our bathroom in a newly purchased home. He came with me to look at the home pre purchase and give opinions and estimates and helped craft my vision into reality. No project is without a few bumps but he was as a professional- responsive and worked to resolve. The tile is artwork. See the below and after ! Alex of APX reached out the same day as our initial inquiry and scheduled a home visit within days. We wanted to remove a jetted tub from the master bath and move our laundry machines up one level into that space. We envisioned just a partition wall, but Alex convinced us to build a proper laundry closet. The cost was very competitive. The project was started promptly and completed within the promised two weeks. His crew was friendly and they completely cleaned up at the end of every day so that we could use our bedroom at night. Alex's crew also completed a couple of small related side tasks that were not included in the quote. The results are spectacular. I wouldn't hesitate to hire APX again.

Alex and his team did a great job on our bathroom. They were communicative, available, and timely in their work. Alex was always there on site when needed and he was a quick phone call or text away with any questions. His team went out of their way to mitigate the dust that comes with such projects. He even fixed a couple of other unrelated issues in our bathroom. Alex also demanded a top-notch project and personally handled a couple of last-minute details like replacing some tile and flooring that had been chipped. We'll certainly use Alex in the future for any home renovation project.

The crew was very through and cleaned up everyday. They also installed hard wood floors and it looks amazing. I would hire them again! The owner Alex was very professional and flexible with last minute changes we made. Personally came to inspect the job when completed.

Great experience but a little to costly.

The team arrived promptly and they were prepared for their work. Many contractors show up for an hour and then disappear for the day. This team worked a full eight hour day! They were very careful and considerate. They cleaned the work area at the end of each work day so I did not have to live with a mess overnight. Their craftsmanship was excellent. They take pride in a job well done. I highly recommend this company.

Alex and his team did a great job on our bathroom. They were communicative, prompt, and thorough. The bathroom looks great, and Alex checked back several times to see how everything is working - and sent someone out to fix a few minor things we wanted change after a week of using it. They met the timeline and cost estimate Alex had proposed, even after we had to postpone the work twice due to illnesses.

Quick, friendly, and did good work for a good price.

Alex and his team did an excellent job with finishing our basement. We added multiple rooms, a kitchenette/wet bar area, and 2 new bathrooms. They were efficient, timely, and everything was executed flawlessly. Will be hiring them again whenever a need arises! Their prices were also fair compared to a few other quotes we received. Great quality at a great price.

I highly recommend Alex and his team. APX Home Improvement did marvelous work with several renovations to my house. Alex consulted closely with me on a number of options and made numerous helpful suggestions, creating an outcome that was even better than I originally envisioned. The finished basement has been transformed into a larger and attractive living space. APX did an excellent job with renovations on the basement, an addition, the stairwell, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and replaced windows, numerous internal and external doors, and over half the flooring in the house. Their exterior work on the patio was the same high quality as the interior work. And the price was very affordable. I am delighted with the results.

Alex figured out our taste right away and made great suggestions. He was very involved and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. His workers were careful, diligent, and got the job done way ahead of schedule. He will be our choice for any future projects.

Definitely recommended! Alex (the company manager) was very honest in helping us determine which repairs were necessary from an inspection report of our new place, unlike other contractors. He was flexible to our changing requests and his partner Sara was always responsive and helpful. The job was completed quickly, with good quality, and pricing was reasonable.

Alex and his team are fantastic. They renovated our DC rowhouse kitchen, and we couldnâ t be more pleased. Alex was able to figure out creative solutions to our small space (moving pipes, adding a fake beam, making use of empty space, etc.). And his employees are very talented. The carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, cabinet installation, and overall attention to detail was top notch. They showed up nearly every day by 8am and worked until 5pm. Incredible work ethic all around. I would highly recommend using them for your next home remodeling project.

Alex and Sara were great to work with. Alex is very detailed and has a good vision for the overall project. I actually had them put flooring and a barnwood wall in the sunroom first. Instead of putting joint pieces up. Alex had them cut the boards exactly to the corners. It looks FANTASTIC! I also gutted the bathroom in the basement and the guys did great work. The workers were friendly and were not lazy. The rest of the basement was pretty straight forward. By the time I purchased all the materials, the cost was more than I had anticipated, but the quality of the work made it worth not choosing the cheapest option. I plan to hire APX again for a job next spring.

Alex and his team are amazing!! Right off the bat I vibed with Alex and Sara. Our job was adding a small kitchen in our basement. They werenâ t the cheapest of the contractors I met with, but Iâ m glad I went with them. They are worth every. single. penny. Alex and his crew did a phenomenal job I can't say enough how well they executed their work. It was exceptional and the fact that they provided solutions instead of just trying to provide what I thought I wanted was a key factor One of the contractors, Nelson, was a phenomenal guy who did great work on a stairwell that we were converting from carpet to hardwood. I would definitely hire them again. The pricing and the timelines were what we discussed and the attention to detail was wonderful. The job want finished until we were satisfied with the end product and we were completely satisfied.

Alex and the APX team did a wonderful job renovating our condo bathroom, turning a dated early 2000's space into a sleek and modern oasis. The job involved quite a bit of complexity, including full walls of large-format ceramic tile, creating a build-in shower niche, as well installing as a floating vanity but the APX team did a great job ensuring that the finished product looked perfect. Alex is honest and easy to work with, and we appreciated that in the instances we found minor things to change even at the end of the project (we asked that the hue of the recessed lighting be changed for example, just based on our preference) he was always ready to make sure we were satisfied. We can't wait to work with APX on our kitchen updates next!

Alex and his crew showed up on time every day and were very professional and efficient in their workmanship. My daughter in Gaithersburg had new granite kitchen counters installed, along with a new back splash, new sink, new sink faucets, new under sink plumbing and under cabinet lighting. APX also installed a granite counter top in the bathroom along with new faucets. They also did some tub repair work and drywall work. All of the work was performed beyond our expectations and we were completely satisfied.

Alex was fantastic through the whole basement remodel process. We had discussions with 5 different contractors and Alex was the only one with a clear vision for our space from the start. Alex really enjoys providing people the type of space they want at a fair price. I look forward to working with Alex again.

I had a great experience working with Alex and APX on a bathroom renovation. The end result was spectacular, and Alex and his team did a great job listening to my ideas for the bathroom, suggesting ways to improve the design, and keeping me updated during the reno. His suggestion to add a pocket door was awesome, and the door is now one of my favorite parts of the bathroom! Also, when we ran into trouble with the shower after the installation, Alex helped diagnose the issue and fix it. Very satisfied with everything, and now I'm saving up to make improvements elsewhere in my condo!
