It went really well, and also they had great subcontractors. They were all on time.

The service was excellent and the Brighton line of cabinetry was exactly what I needed. The end product looks great and works great.

It went very well from start to finish, starting with our first meeting with Lu Morley at the Gaithersburg location. She really took the time to understand what we wanted and our budget. She educated us on our options, without trying to push us to spend more than we wanted to spend. Then she came up with a preliminary budget, including estimates for things (like appliances) that we were purchasing elsewhere. She explained what the timeline would be and when we would need to make payments. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant, and professional. All the skilled trades people (both Cabinet Discounter's employees and their subs) were punctual, neat, and very considerate of our home's security. They said it would take 4 weeks to complete and they provided a detailed schedule, which was very accurate. Now, I have a beautiful, much more user friendly kitchen.

We were originally happy with the service we received when in the showroom. We took delivery of the cabinet and all 6 drawers were misaligned. I know the agreement says that some adjustment may be required but to have every drawer be off speaks of poor quality in the factory. When I called to express my concern the woman I spoke to was extremely rude and said she couldn't help me because I wasn't her customer. When I told her I was not happy with the customer service I received she hung up on me. I immediately called back and got a different person and when I complained about being hung up on, he told me it must have been a disconnection. I will never use this company again.

It's April, and I am still dissatisfied.
Showroom salesperson has not followed up at all. This and quot;two to three week joband quot; took the better part of three months. (job started on January 2.
I am still not satisfied with the way the cabinets open and close. They are supposed to and quot;soft closeand quot;; half do, half do not. Seems that you have to choose between and quot;soft closeand quot; and and quot;soft openand quot;, but you cannot have both.I emailed Customer Service ten days ago. asked that the sales rep, who made a nice commission, I'm sure, come out to check the work. Three days later, I texted the sales rep. A week has passed and I've received no response from anyone at Cabinet Discounters.
I actually thought about calling one of the Mikk family members, who I believe own Cabinet Discounters, but decided that Angie's List would get a better response.

We were referred to Hans Englehart at Cabinet Discounters (CD) by friends who had used him for their kitchen renovation. Hans listened to what we wanted and showed us a lot of options. He came to our home to see our space and then had us come back to the store to look at several different design possibilities. He made a lot of suggestions but also listened to what we were looking for. Cabinet Discounters uses a lot of Brighton Cabinetry, which comes in a lot of styles, woods and stains. The cabinets are not custom cabinets, but they do come in a lot of sizes and can be customized. CD also provided our granite countertops. They have a store in Mt. Airy where we went to select our preferred slab. We bought our tile and lighting separately, but CD managed their installation. Chip did the carpentry work and is a perfectionist. Every thing that he installed was done perfectly. One cabinet was not correct from Brighton, but CD was able to get a replacement within a week so that the project could stay on schedule. The entire job took just under four weeks to finish. Now that the job is finished I am even more impressed with how well the design works for us. Everything is in exactly the right place and my kitchen is so much more functional (and beautiful.) I'm really happy with my new kitchen. I interviewed several other kitchen renovation companies and felt that I got great service at the best price from CD.

They did a complete kitchen for me and eating area. It included electrical, plumbing, cabinets and countertops. It was a complete gut and redo of the kitchen. Comments: I would not refer them. Their workmanship and professionalism were not good. In fact, they walked away from a job before it was finished. I had to go to the County in order to get them in here to finish the job. There were a lot of mistakes done along the way, and I tried to work with them in every case and do it the way they wanted but it wasn't working out and I finally wanted them to go back and do it the right way, and that was when they walked away. They didn't want to follow things that were in the design of the contract and I had to fight back to get them to do that. A lot of their managers along the way tried to work with me and were helpful. A kitchen is a lot of an issue to begin with, and the final straw was them not being responsive. Everyone I know in my neighborhood who used them said that their initial work was great, but when they had problems, they had a very difficult time getting them back to resolve them. They would not come back, and many times, they did not get them resolved. They just finally gave up, and I am the type of person who doesn't give up. I would not use them, and I would not want to put anyone through it. I don't think their price was that much better than what I can get elsewhere. I do not want anybody to go through what I went through. Some of the cabinets came in damaged. They wanted to repair them and I wanted to get them replaced because I didn't pay for repaired cabinets. They ended up replacing some of them, and we ended up having some of them repaired. We kind of reached a compromise but it was a struggle to get that. Some of the custom pieces that they were supposed to do weren't right when they came in, so those had to be changed. There were also designs that were part of the plan that they didn't do, and there was a battle when I asked them to redo it because they hadn't done it right. The cabinetry that they used is outstanding and the cabinet maker is remarkable. I would never use them again.

Both remodels were done to my complete satisfaction.

Working with Mike was terrific from the moment I walked into their gorgeous showroom. Mike was totally on key keeping to my budget and even providing cost saving suggestions - upgraded cabinets at no cost within a certain time frame that worked fine for me and reduced price on our beautiful quartz countertops because we found "remnants" that were the color and size I loved. Mike is a no pressure kind of man who has great ideas and knowledge.

We worked with Lu at the Gaithersburg location. She provided us with an excellent upgrade plan, helped us to select beautiful finishes and ordered the cabinets. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and bath upgrades. The subcontractors which Cabinet Discounters use are excellent. The installers, plumbers, electricians, etc. are excellent. (We have actually used some of them on some unrelated repairs because their caliber was so great). They are very skilled and professional and they love being subcontractors for Cabinet Discounters. The granite installers did a terrific job. Cindy in the project coordination department provided us with a very detailed project plan so that we knew who was going to be onsite every day. We don't plan on doing a new remodeling project any time soon, however, we would use them again without thinking twice.

On time, on schedule thru -out the job. Overall took ~ 3 1/2 weeks. No complaints!

Finding Cabinet Discounters was a huge stroke of luck. I was trying to economize on my kitchen project and priced out Home Depot as well as a refacing company. Cabinet Discounters actually came in at a very comparable price for a much higher quality product. Working with Mike Bliss was, well, blissful. I don't think I've received better customer service from anyone, anywhere. He was knowledgeable, extremely patient, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. He helped me to not just realize, but optimize my vision, including helping me to obtain a non-standard wood species (walnut) from the cabinet maker. My family is thrilled with our new kitchen and have Mike to thank. He continues to offer support and advice as we live with our kitchen and need minor things (additional drawers, etc). If only every contractor/company worked like this!

They had installed the cabinets in my house as it was a part of my home renovation. I rate them highly and I will use them again in the future if needed to.

Mike Bliss, our designer and the store manager, is fabulous. We worked with him for many months to design the perfect kitchen, since we were building a new kitchen from scratch. Mike is extremely professional, likeable, easy-going, and knowledgeable. He really made an effort to understand our needs and integrate those into the design. He always made the changes we requested and looked for ways to ensure we were happy - integrating form and function.

We worked with Mike as part of our contract with Bethesda-based ART Design Build and Grossmueller's Design Consultants. Mike led us to ART Design, and we are so grateful to him for doing so. He enabled us to now have the kitchen of our dreams. We love the Brighton cabinetry and the granite, and would recommend Mike and Cabinet Discounters in an instant. Don't hesitate to work with Mike and the store!

After selecting the cabinet style, Lu created a 3-D image of my kitchen layout and built the kitchen on the computer. She knew exactly what was needed and provided a detailed quote and order list.

She ordered the cabinets and gave me a delivery date. Everything in the order was correct and the guys delivered the cabinets when agreed.

The best part of working with Lu Morley (unlike some other places I went) was that she respected my budget and did not push more expensive cabinets. Other vendors huffed or sighed when they knew I did not have a big budget.

Overall, I am happy with the kitchen cabinets and countertop we purchased from Cabinet Discounters. Our designer/salesperson was very helpful. The countertop measure and install was perfect. But, there were problems with the cabinets. First, one of the cabinets was made wrong. A new cabinet was ordered right away, but it delayed the installation by a week. We also had issues with what I considered to be very poor cabinet assembly and a warped shelf. I complained and after a bit of pleading two of the cabinets were replaced. In the end I got the product I wanted at the right price but it was a little more trouble than I had hoped for. This was the second kitchen Cabinet Discounters has sold me. I would still use them again.

The designer was very nice and came up with a good design. However, the job was plagued by problems once installation began. FIrst, it turned out the designer had mis-measured various cabinets, then there were flaws in some of the cabinets themselves, various problems with the floor installation, etc. Generally the people we dealt with seemed nice and not intentionally dishonest or anything, it's just that there was a pervasive inattention to detail and lack of coordination and care among the design staff, installers, office staff, etc. We also experienced a wide variation in the skill of various carpenters sent out for the job. In the end the job never would have been completed correctly if we did not fly speck every detail ourselves. In the end out "3 week" job took 3 months. In the end we wound up with a nice kitchen for a good price but it was not worth the hassle. If I had to do it again I'd spend a little more to deal with a company that takes a little more pride in its work and care for its customers.

They were prompt, professional and clean.

So far we are very satisfied. I found them very professional, on time and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable and not too pushy.
