"Hi Chris, first off, we did this project in October of 2019 its now December 2020 over a year later and you are writing this negative review. Let us start with the paint. You came home and gave me the paint samples from SW and that is what I used. Six months later you came back and said you wanted an eggshell finish and now a year later, you want semigloss. I have no problem repainting your basement, but not for free. Next up is the fireplace's wireless remote/switch, which was not included in the estimate of installing your fireplace. Not only is the switch sold separately from the fireplace but so is the labor. You tried to sneak in some free work, and I went along with it figuring it would not be that big of a deal, and I told you I would try to install it if it was simple. However, not knowing what you even ordered I could not get it to work and I told you I needed to bring the Electrician back out to install the switch you surprised us with. You did not want to do this. And yes, I did think it was defective because I could not figure it out so you ordered a new one however after coming back out for this free service, I still could not get it. Also do not forget I had to make two trips because once I came and you were on your medication and could not get up to answer the door. That day I still had to pay my crew, again this was all at no cost to you. so, to conclude that I believe you ended up finding out that your fireplace is not compatible with a wireless remote. Once again per our contract, you were to select your bathroom materials within the allowed budget. The bathtub you chose is not defective it has some grip on the bottom, so people do not slip. The contract was very clear as to what was and was not included. You have a vent fan/microwave combo, if you need more ventilation in the basement, we need to do more work. If you remember we told you that you needed to upgrade your furnace because the airflow would be poor by adding the basement apartment and cutting 3 additional vents in your main trunk line to supply your basement, however you chose to forgo this step. As for the faucet, loose outlet, and a door that just needed the trim recut. I sent a 2-man crew out there twice to take care of these minor punch out issues, and both times you were unable to come downstairs to let them in. These hours were on the clock and I paid for them. You were apologetic so I did not bill you. Now for your sink faucet, you said to apply the $300 (you paid for the faucets to be replaced but we could not find any because you have an antique style sink called a slant back sink) to replace 2 smart locks in your home so you could just give your tenants a code without worrying about keys. We did everything we were paid to do and more. We did our best."
