"We had a great experience with On Top Roofing. They returned my call for a quote request within one day and had someone out to give an estimate within a couple of days after that. We obtained several estimates, On Top was the only company that actually climbed up on a ladder to really look at the area of concern and where work needed to be done during the estimate. After we received the quote, the work was done within the scheduled time and completed as agreed. I would definitely consider On Top again for future roofing needs."

"We are very pleased with the result. The job was done in a day by a large team, who wrapped up the house (!), stripped off the old roofing, and put in the new skylights and roof within the day. There were some delays due to poor (wet) weather, but we can't really blame Ranch Roofing for that."

"We are extremely happy with our new roof. The crew manager Jeremy was diligent about how things were going and done. He answered any and all questions we had. His crew worked extremely hard in extreme heat. We don’t have any trees near our roof so they were in the sun all day. They never slowed down they kept a steady pace. They were at our home 2 days, they worked cash a team to complete the job and the clean up was done with precision each day. People going by we’re impressed with the professionalism of your company and of an amazing job. One of our neighbors is interested in your company doing his roof. We would highly recommend your company. Our new roof makes our house stand out in the neighborhood. Thank you Jeremy and Crew"

"We cannot say enough good things about Beantown Home Improvements. From start to finish, the re-roofing of our home and shed was a stellar experience. For starters, Dan, the Project Specialist, is awesome! He is not only a truly nice, genuine person, but also a truly excellent ambassador of the company. Dan was right on time for his first visit to our home and always sent a text to let us know he was on his way for subsequent visits. He sincerely listened to our concerns and needs and then gave us several helpful suggestions and possible alternatives to achieve the outcome we wanted. He carried out a thorough inspection of our roof, attic and shed, answered every one of our questions and left us a number of shingle samples to consider. We had a couple of other companies come and look at the house previously, but none could compare with the Beantown experience. Dan stuck to his word and unlike another company that never followed up with their estimate, Beantown followed through, allowing us to gain their trust with a very reasonable estimate. Derek, the Project Manager, was also terrific. He kept us informed, telling us what to expect and when. The dumpster was delivered right on schedule, the day before the job, and Derek kept me posted on when the crew was arriving the day of. Derek orchestrated the crew like a seasoned conductor. I was amazed as to how smoothly everything went. One of the things we asked Beantown to do was to replace the trim on our shed with PVC – they did a great job, but the crown jewel was the rebuild of our cupola, whose wooden base had rotted. Derek, mapped out a plan that was carried out by his crew with an outstanding result – it looks beautiful! The job was completed by 5:30 PM and the cleanup was amazing – it was like they had never been there….and the dumpster was picked up the very next morning. I did a walk around the next day and only found one nail – unbelievable! Not only do we highly recommend this company, but we have hired them to rebuild our front and rear decks. Looking forward to another stellar experience!"

"I had a leak that can be seen from a ceiling. Called several roofing companies and got no reply back. Used home advisor and have Andrea called me and scheduled the visit promptly for Freddy to come and check the leak. Freddy was very professional, identified the leak that was due to improper seal of one of the skylights and fixed it right away. He also checked my other skylights and some had the same problem which he fixed. Freddy checked my roof for issues and provided tips for maintenance so it can last long. Definitely will recommend Global Home Improvement, Inc as a honest and very professional company !"

""Newton Roofing" had done work for me 25-30 years ago. I didn't know the name had been changed to "Newton Roofing Residential", and was under new management/ownership.I called and Mr. Melo answered right away. I explained the problem. He personally came to inspect the following day. I had feared a new roof might be needed, but he explained the damage was likely caused by a damaged (perforated) shingle. One of his crew came out 2 days later and replaced the shingle. The price was reasonable. I also noted another shingle that lifted, due to a "nail-pop". This, a relatively minor matter, was repaired at no extra charge. I cant' recommend Newton Roofing Residential strongly enough. They were prompt, efficient, professional, and polite. Mr. Melo took the time to explain matters to me in detail. I will certainly be using them for roofing matters in future,"

"I am very pleased with the roof replacement. The workers were very thorough, neat, efficient, and professional. During the project they noticed a lot of rotted wood and were able to repair that as well. From the entire process - initial meeting; sales; work performed; and cleanup; I have nothing negative to say. Outstanding work."

Customers say: True professional

"The roof was patched and I no longer have a leakage problem, I provided the wrong Shingles which were used unfortunately, and as a result the finished look is relatively poor, The company was very responsive and if they had the correct materials I'm sure the job would have been more than satisfactory. I need to remember it was a patch not a new roof. Try them, they came out between rain storms and fixed my leak."

"The contractor was knowledgeable and skilled and took the time (perhaps 15 minutes) to examine 4 or our 6 roofs (we have little house with two main sloped roofs, one small less sloped roof and three small flat roofs).
He did not take the time to examine the remaining roofs, saying that he had done enough for us, that there was no charge and that we were in good shape. While I believe the contractor and am somewhat reassured, I would have preferred that he take another few minutes to examine the remaining roof or even to say that he would do that for a charge.
The reason I feel this way is that each roof is different. Flat roofs last 20 years. Ours are 17 years old. One of the flat roofs not inspected is different in that it has glue seams in the middle that may or may not be a problem. It was such a bad winter last year, and I had noticed that one of our flat roofs was starting to curl up a little bit where it is attached under a gutter (hard to explain). I also had noticed a stain that was due to an ice dam (although we had no leakage inside). So concern for our roofs is warranted
As it is, I will be getting another roofer to come to inspect at least the last flat roof and for a second opinion. This certainly is not the end of the world. I might or might not have opted to have the second inspection if the contractor had examined the remaining flat roof

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Roofing work in Framingham often impacts attic ventilation, HVAC ductwork, and electrical wiring, especially if you have solar panels or satellite dishes installed. Before starting, ask your contractor to inspect attic insulation and plumbing vent stacks for potential disruption. Coordinating with professionals can prevent issues like moisture buildup or accidental damage to roof penetrations, ensuring your roof replacement or repair goes smoothly.

Helpful?

During roofing projects in Framingham, keep children and pets indoors and designate a safe play area away from the work zone. Ask your roofer to use tarps and magnetic tools to collect nails and debris daily. Let neighbors know about the project to minimize disruptions, and check your yard for leftover materials before allowing kids or pets outside. Consider scheduling roof work when your family is out for the day.

Helpful?

Framingham’s climate, with its snowy winters and humid summers, influences both roofing materials and project timing. Ice dams are common after heavy snow, so roof replacement often includes installing ice and water barriers. Spring and fall are ideal for roof inspections and repairs, as mild temperatures help materials set properly. Always choose materials that withstand freeze-thaw cycles and sudden storms typical in MA.

Helpful?

In Framingham, it’s time to consider roof replacement or repair if you notice missing shingles, sagging spots, or water stains in your attic. Watch for signs like moss growth, curling shingles, or granule loss after storms. If your roof is over 20 years old, schedule a roof inspection in spring or fall, which are the best seasons for roofing projects due to favorable weather conditions.

Helpful?

After roofing work in Framingham, review your warranty and take photos of the finished roof for future reference. Inspect attic ventilation and check that all flashing and roof penetrations are sealed, especially around plumbing vents. Test gutters during the next rainfall to ensure proper drainage. Schedule a roof inspection after the first winter to catch any issues from snow or ice dams, and clean gutters before fall leaves accumulate.
