"I highly recommend Newton Roofing Residential. In 2014, they replaced the entire roof on my home with high quality materials, in a safe and timely manner, and at a very competitive price. In 2020, I decided to address another need - my aging second floor porch, which serves as a roof to the first floor porch below. It was becoming increasingly unsafe due to wood rot, with a soft floor and loose railings. Given my positive customer experience in 2014, calling Newton Roofing in 2020 was an easy decision - I did not get quotes from any other company. Rich came out and provided a detailed explanation of the materials and labor needed to replace the porch and to install new railings that best match the style of my home, and he followed up with a very competitive quote for the project. He arrived as promised and provided a very thorough and fair estimate for the work requested, which was re-roofing the house, a garage, an addition and a shed, adding a 27' section of gutter to my garage and replacing two skylights in my addition. He was professional and personable, as well as very knowledgeable. The estimate he provided was complete and fair. In addition, he provided a list of homes he had roofed (with shingle colors) so that I could get a good idea of the color in actual lighting conditions. I was very pleased with his interaction and have no doubt as to his capability. Unfortunately, you can only hire one firm and I opted for a different company but you should contact him for an estimate on your job. He is well established and would be competitive."

"I first called another roofer who never came inside to look at the stains or went up on the roof. That roofer said by visual inspection he could tell I did not need a new roof and his company only dealt with replacements. But, he hazarded a guess at what was wrong and said if anyone actually went up on the roof, it would cost around $800. I then called Farina who scheduled an estimate; they arrived on schedule. The gentleman came inside and took pictures of the stains. I received an estimate about a week later and was asked to agree to it or not by email. I agreed and about another week passed and they showed up at my house to do the work, again going inside first to look at where the stains were. The actual work took less than an hour-so far, so good. Assuming that the leak is fixed, the only thing that could have been better was if I was told beforehand when they would do the work, instead of their just showing up. Luckily, I was home."
