Serj at A&S was easy to deal with, arrived on time to measure stuff and gave me a competitive bid later that day, in writing. I went to his store to pick out the flooring and we settled on mostly high quality laminate and some vinyl for baths, etc. He has a huge selection from which to choose.  I kept changing my mind about the flooring, almost to the last minute, and he was very flexible about that. "I went to look for hardwood floors on Friday, January 25th.  I chose Mike Pillar because of the excellent reviews on Angie's List.  Mike carefully explained the different options available, and what would work best on my slab concrete floors.  I chose the wood I wanted, and made an appointment for them to come measure the following Tuesday.  Had a quote the next day, and booked the job to start the following Wednesday.  They actually were able to start the work a day earlier.  The workers arrived on time and were very professional.  They completed the job in four days, and the workmanship was beautiful.  There was a minor issue with the placement of some closet hardware, but when I called about it, Mike himself came out to the house and immediately fixed the problem.  Not being a patient person, it was very gratifying to have my hardwood floors completed within two weeks of the day I walked into the showroom."

"We had an old floor on top of an older floor. The baseboard quarter round was broken. George brought out samples to choose from and I picked one that turned out to be not available. George promptly contacted me and brought out new samples he had selected to be similar to what I had originally chosen which made the task to choose the new flooring quick and easy. He even volunteered to give a discount for the inconvenience. Dave showed up on time to do the installation. He performed the job with a minimum of disturbance to the household and kept debris from the removal in plastic sheeting so none was spilled on the hall carpet. We have indoor house cats and he was very considerate to keep them safe and inside during the job. The new flooring fit perfectly and the quarter round was  replaced and painted. The job was completed on time with a minimum of fuss. Dave was very polite and personable and a pleasure to have in our home. Our new floor is beautiful and we a very glad we selected Carpet Time.

"Byron and his team recently helped me with a floor polishing project as part of my home remodeling efforts. Byron was very responsive on text/phone and came in a few times before we settled on a date to come provide a quote as well to give me samples that I could select from. He is based in Culver City and yet made the trip out to Pasadena a few times to help with making sure I was comfortable with the sample selection. He was very prompt and responsive during scheduling especially when I had to move the date a few times due to delays in remodeling. His team was prompt and came in as scheduled, did a great job and provided me regular updates during the process. They also use dustless equipment and did not leave any dust on the walls as a result of the polishing. They were very professional and I would highly recommend their services."

"We received several bids on the work we needed done. Mario Diaz Flooring was not the cheapest bid and not the most expensive. We chose them because of their ratings and the confidence Mario had that we would love the end product. Our situation was not just refinishing original hardwood floors, putting adding a brand new 300 square foot oak floor with a 70-year-old existing oak floor that flow together. When we pulled up the carpet, we had a lot of stains in the wood, some fresh and wet from my daughter's dog when they visit us, which I was not aware existed. I was amazed that Mario’s crew got all the stains out and the new room they added matched the old oak floors so well. They did a beautiful job. They showed up everyday and completed the job in a timely manner. The crew worked very hard and were very polite. A few companies that quoted the project seemed to make a big deal about adding a brand new room with the original oak flooring we had. Mario assured us we would be happy with the end product and gave us confidence in his craftsmanship. He said our floors will look pretty much the same because he uses solid oak similar to what was used in the 1950s (newer but oak). He uses a process to age the wood to help it match the original. We were amazed how the floors matched up so perfectly. They laid it down piece-by-piece (no fake wood or prefab material). We absolutely love the look of our new floors. I will never cover up these beautiful wood floors with carpet ever again. I encourage people to get multiple bids and have conversations with the companies. It is time consuming but worth the effort or just skip them all and call Mario Diaz' company. If you get multiple bids, you will figure out fast who is taking advantage and highballing the project."
