"Absolutely perfectly. The job required removal of existing linoleum and carpeting, new install of latex subflooring, luxury vinyl install over three rooms all laid on a 45° angle, and new baseboards. My install was a bit problematic as it involved the approval of the Condo Board. Valley Carpet One went above and beyond by submitting specs to the Condo Board and backing up their choices with solid examples of previous work, and got me the approval I needed. They worked with my painter to make sure the baseboards were painted before install. And when there was a recurring problem with one area — caulk would absorb into the space along one mirrored wall and would not adhere — they waited until the flooring had settled and did the finishing touches to perfection. They had been recommended to me by a friend who had also recommended them to five other people, and I have since recommended them to people who have also used their services. Valley Carpet One is an incredible company, and I hope to engage them again when I do my bathroom and balcony,"

They were super fast - both in material procurement (we were working on a very condensed timeline) and in installation (everything was done in 1.5 days). "I went to look for hardwood floors on Friday, January 25th.  I chose Mike Pillar because of the excellent reviews on Angie's List.  Mike carefully explained the different options available, and what would work best on my slab concrete floors.  I chose the wood I wanted, and made an appointment for them to come measure the following Tuesday.  Had a quote the next day, and booked the job to start the following Wednesday.  They actually were able to start the work a day earlier.  The workers arrived on time and were very professional.  They completed the job in four days, and the workmanship was beautiful.  There was a minor issue with the placement of some closet hardware, but when I called about it, Mike himself came out to the house and immediately fixed the problem.  Not being a patient person, it was very gratifying to have my hardwood floors completed within two weeks of the day I walked into the showroom."

"We received several bids on the work we needed done. Mario Diaz Flooring was not the cheapest bid and not the most expensive. We chose them because of their ratings and the confidence Mario had that we would love the end product. Our situation was not just refinishing original hardwood floors, putting adding a brand new 300 square foot oak floor with a 70-year-old existing oak floor that flow together. When we pulled up the carpet, we had a lot of stains in the wood, some fresh and wet from my daughter's dog when they visit us, which I was not aware existed. I was amazed that Mario’s crew got all the stains out and the new room they added matched the old oak floors so well. They did a beautiful job. They showed up everyday and completed the job in a timely manner. The crew worked very hard and were very polite. A few companies that quoted the project seemed to make a big deal about adding a brand new room with the original oak flooring we had. Mario assured us we would be happy with the end product and gave us confidence in his craftsmanship. He said our floors will look pretty much the same because he uses solid oak similar to what was used in the 1950s (newer but oak). He uses a process to age the wood to help it match the original. We were amazed how the floors matched up so perfectly. They laid it down piece-by-piece (no fake wood or prefab material). We absolutely love the look of our new floors. I will never cover up these beautiful wood floors with carpet ever again. I encourage people to get multiple bids and have conversations with the companies. It is time consuming but worth the effort or just skip them all and call Mario Diaz' company. If you get multiple bids, you will figure out fast who is taking advantage and highballing the project."
