"Highly recommend. Mike gives sound advice about what tree's need to be trimmed or taken out. He gave me options to save money, if desired, too. Great customer service and pleasant transaction. Very fair price was the added bonus. My new "go to" tree service."

"Went very well!! The owner, Heath Hoverton (not sure of spelling) made sure the scheduling and demolition including tree removal was handled by his experienced foreman and masonry work crew. They worked diligently with great care and superior masonry/craftsmanship. Very friendly and professional in their behavior towards us and always made sure we had access to our home. The brick work is astounding with artistic rounds and pathways using colored brick and soldiers path lining and micro gravel for some of the walkways. Extremely artistic with two arbors, giant rock boulder water feature with Seahawks colors gazing on the water and excellent walls and pathways.

"The trees I wanted trimmed were done in a timely manner and the area was totally cleaned. There was a communications problem. The arborist was the only person on site that spoke English well. He explained what needed to be done to the foreman and left. From then on it was touch and go. Luckily, one of the young guys doing the work spoke some English. I had to watch what was being done, running from the front to the back of my yard. I was having two trees done at once. Sometimes I would catch a mistake being made, as to what I asked for, and sometimes I wouldn't. I finally was able to get a hold of the arborist and have him come back. In the end, the trees were trimmed, it wasn't a disaster, and I was somewhat satisfied with the work."

"Ammon and the guys at American Tree Care showed up early and did a great job! Care was taken not to damage property and everything was cleaned up and put back at the end of the job. Even cut down blackberry bushes to access the trees. And came in just under estimate. Everything was explained to me and Ammon had plenty of advice and was willing to share it. Great Job! Very happy.
And leave a message, he will call you back.

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Your neighbor is not in a good position to know if your trees are truly dead or pose any kind of danger. That’s why hiring an arborist or tree service expert can be such an important part of the process. If the trees are still alive and don’t pose any threat, you’re in the clear (but you may want to document and photograph everything in case events turn sour down the road).

But if a tree is visibly dead and near the property line, you should remove it to be safe. If a dead tree falls on a neighbor’s property, they may have grounds to sue for negligence. If any branches on trees have died, it’s a good idea to cut them back for similar reasons.

It enhances property aesthetics, improves tree health, and prevents safety hazards.

If you’re planning on keeping the tree, unless the roots are invasive, there’s no need to remove them, as doing so can cause damage to the tree. If the tree has been cut down and the stump and roots are left, grinding and removing the stump can cause root decay for some species. For other species, the stump and roots will need to be removed to prevent pests, disease, and possible tree regrowth.

There are a few instances in which removing a tree is the best option. You might do this if the tree looks to be a major danger—potentially falling onto your home, your car, or other parts of your property—or it’s diseased beyond repair. A tree that is growing too close to your house might need to be removed to prevent mold growth.

If it’s only a smaller branch that has died and you’re keeping an eye on the tree, it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if other nearby branches start dying off as well, or a very large branch dies, then you likely have a bigger problem. It’s time to watch for diseases and other problems and possibly get professional guidance on how to proceed.
