"The trees I wanted trimmed were done in a timely manner and the area was totally cleaned. There was a communications problem. The arborist was the only person on site that spoke English well. He explained what needed to be done to the foreman and left. From then on it was touch and go. Luckily, one of the young guys doing the work spoke some English. I had to watch what was being done, running from the front to the back of my yard. I was having two trees done at once. Sometimes I would catch a mistake being made, as to what I asked for, and sometimes I wouldn't. I finally was able to get a hold of the arborist and have him come back. In the end, the trees were trimmed, it wasn't a disaster, and I was somewhat satisfied with the work."

They arrived on time, went straight to work without stopping, and made short work of seven VERY large 20-to-thirty-year-old scrub maples that they cut down and hauled away. I was impressed and fascinated to watch these fellows as they cut, dropped, collected, and removed my trees. They always watched out for each other, even as they cared for the bushes and trees I wanted to keep. Professionals in every sense of the word! "I called him back, and again, I was maybe not quite as happy the second time because there was like a, I mean he did great,  but as far as coming back to catch a branch, dead branch that was still hanging, I just felt it was really hard to get him back since he's so busy.  It was definitely before summer when they did the work.  The intent was to keep the tree from blowing into the gutter of the townhouse.  I think they do a good job.  I would definitely recommend them.  It seemed more expensive than the first time.  I thought they did a good job, like I said there was that one remaining dead branch that was accidentally left and I was concerned about although it wasn't a big branch, it wasn't that, like heavy but I wouldn't want it to come down.  They were very responsive for taking the job in a hurry but it was more difficult to get them to come back to do the job.  Showing up for the job they're excellent at.  I would price out and look at others.  I wouldn't, I'm not saying no, but I would be more informed of other service people/providers before I made that decision.  It is likely that I would but I would do so after seeking more information. "

"Dan came out to give us an assessment about the health of an old cedar we have next to our home. I was concerned that he wouldn't be "straight" and would try to upsell services. However, I really wanted an experienced arborist to let me know why parts of my tree appear to be dying. Dan checked our tree out thoroughly and gave us his opinion that the tree is stressed but will most likely bounce back over the next several months. He then went on to look at a number of other trees on our property -- ALL AT NO CHARGE TO US -- and without trying to sell us any services. I have complete confidence in Dan and Eastside Tree Works. They came to take care of our landscape needs and didn't attempt to profit off of our ignorance. I will not hesitate to use them in the future!"

"Blake and the Arbor Barber team were fantastic! I had originally contacted four companies to provide me with estimates for cutting down two overgrown cherry trees. One company didn't show to provide an estimate and the remaining three were all within $50-$100 of each other. While Arbor Barber were the highest estimate, they were the company that I felt the most comfortable with. From the phone call with their office to schedule the appointment, to owner (Blake) that came to provide the estimate, to the crew that arrived to do the work, they were the most professional and friendly, and provided the most honest and pressure free estimate.
