Custom Pavers and Design did the pavers for our house: backyard patio, driveway, walkways. Their work exceeded my expectations. I will definitely use them again for any work which they can do.

Terrible Contractor, taking them to court a second time. In 2016 I entrusted Custom Pavers & Design with a 20K+ project at my residence. The execution of that project was sheer misery from the beginning, so much so that midway throughout the project I decided to fire Custom Pavers & Design. The owner persuaded me to give him another chance to finish the work. Out of the goodness of my heart I did give him another chance, a decision I regret every day. In 2017, after many fruitless attempts to get Custom Pavers & Design to stand by their work I had no other choice but to turn to the court of law. I sued Custom Pavers & Design and won the case. The nasty behavior of this contractor in the court of law didn’t help their defense at all. The court awarded me a full judgement against this contractor. Contentious to the end, this contractor satisfied the judgement only after his license was temporarily suspended by WA State Department of Labor and Industry. Needless to say, that judgement was in relation to a specific complaint and as such has no bearing on any future claims that may arise under the 25-year warranty issued by the contractor. It goes without saying, that I would love nothing more than not to have any warranty issues with this contractor but unfortunately it is not the case. Presently I am faced with several of them, including one of the anchoring concrete edges that has seriously caved in and there is now a loose bullnose paver in the middle of a step in a high foot traffic area, which is frequently used by delivery drivers. These issues and their repair are clearly identified as covered by the warranty issued to me by Custom Pavers & Design. And so I contacted this contractor to report these issues, noting that the loose bullnose paver, located in a high foot traffic area, was a hazard and could become a liability for me if not promptly repaired. Not hearing back from Custom Pavers & Design, I contacted them again, and again and again. All of my calls and emails were ignored. This is unconscionable. As I have no other recourse, I will be taking this contractor to court again. This time, however, I will also be taking this matter to the Attorney General of WA State since I firmly believe that Custom Pavers & Design, while issuing a warranty, had no intention whatsoever of ever honoring it. There are 20 more years left under this warranty and I am fully prepared to hold this contractor accountable each and every time I have to.

Excellent and professional work by the Custom pavers. They gave me good design ideas and responsive through out the project for any questions asked.

They were timely, responsive, precessional. It was great to work with Ben and his crew, and we love the final product. The price was a bit more than we wanted, but it was worth it, that's the only reason we have that part a "b." If we had the means, we'd use them for more projects.

This Spring (2016), we contracted with Custom Pavers & Design, LLC, to work with
us to design and build a small patio (112 sq ft) in our front yard. We drew up
a sketch of what we wanted it to look like, and Ben Paul, the owner, worked
closely with us on the implementation details. It wasn't just a simple job
because the patio had to be installed on a slight slope. Now that the project
is done, it came out exactly as we designed it and we couldn't be more
thrilled.

Ben is a great listener. He heard what we wanted, added ideas of his own and made
it happen. His bid was very competitive and within the budget we had set. He
got the job because of who he is and how much he cares to make his customers
happy. 

 In one day, his team ripped out our lawn, built the retaining wall that would make
the patio level, leveled the soil, poured in the crushed gravel, set the
concrete pavers, added sand between the pavers, and washed down the patio. A
few days later, Ben came by and sealed the stones.

Bottom line, we could not have been more pleased with Ben and his team, and have no
problem recommending him to others (which we already have done).
