"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Usually, surfaces that heat up or begin to glow when in use are traditional electric cooktops. Induction ranges only warm slightly, and often do not have an indicator that they are turned on (though some newer models have lights to mimic the glow of electric units). Because induction stovetops don’t get very hot, they are considered safer than electric units.

You can run a small or basic standard-size refrigerator on a 15-amp circuit. But you should plug a modern, standard-size refrigerator into a 20-amp dedicated circuit. The refrigerator needs to be on a dedicated circuit, meaning it is the only appliance and outlet on that circuit breaker. This method prevents tripping the breaker and reduces the chance of an electrical fire. 

Small appliances typically include microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens, food processors, blenders, mixers, slow cookers, air fryers, coffee makers, rice cookers, and any other appliance that can sit on your countertop. Major appliances include refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, washers, and dryers. Some people may include HVAC equipment like condensers and air handlers in this category, too. Small appliances are more of a specialty, so there’s a good chance a typical appliance repair company won’t be able to service and repair small appliances.

No; all cookware can be used in a convection oven. That said, some cookware performs better than others. Bright aluminum or light-colored pans are best for convection ovens, as bakeware with an anodized finish can cause food to brown too quickly. Ceramic and some glass dishes are not as effective at directing heat, so they work better in conventional ovens.

You can disable a fridge door alarm on most modern models by pressing and holding the door alarm button for three seconds. The door alarm button is located on the control panel, which is usually on the face of the door if you have a digital display or just inside one of the doors on the body of the fridge. But keep in mind that the door alarm is a helpful feature that can identify refrigerator problems and reduce your running costs, so it’s best to leave it on.
