"Jorge and his crew did a fantastic job cutting large dead trees in my yard. He was very comprehensive and is very knowledgeable about everything tree related. Best part was his cost effectiveness compared to other quotes I received. I will definitely be working with them in future needs and recommend them to others needing his services!"

Customers say: True professional

"-Knowledgeable concerning the impact of pruning a tree. -Punctual- he gave me a time when his team would arrive and they arrived at the appointed time. He told an estimated time to complete the job and it was done within the time allotted. - Very competent team. The climbers knew what they were doing. Part of the job was removal of large limbs over power lines. They removed the limbs without hitting the lines. The trees I had dopped, did not take any other trees or structures with them. -Has the equipment to deal with trunks as well as branches. The only service that I interviewed that used a chipper. -Last but not least, very reasonably priced. His contact information is on my phone for the next tree project I have."

"The entire crew was fantastic. We had 2 extremely difficult and xlarge trees requiring removal. Both were on slopes and in between two houses in close proximity. Jose and crew took every caution and time needed to do the job right. We actually sat and watched for several hours as it was impressive to watch. Several neighbors were impressed and have took his business cards as 3 out of 4 neighbors have used other tree services and were not happy. Watching this crew impressed them with how careful and good this crew was. I had interviewed 4 companies. Jose was the only one to follow up that day with a written contract reiterating his verbal estimate. Jose was the only company to also follow through immediately with communication and scheduling on a timely manner. I can say the others never followed through with formal paperwork as requested. I've already spoken to him about future work."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In general, trees should be planted no closer than 15 to 20 feet from your foundation. For larger trees with far-reaching roots like maples, oaks, or poplars, a good guide is to plant as many feet from your home as the tree’s height is expected to reach at maturity. Some trees, like elms and willows, should only be planted far from where their roots may encounter sewer or water lines.

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.

Yes, you can prune a palm tree with a chainsaw, but a chainsaw is overkill for a job like this. You risk damaging the tree if you make a bad cut. More commonly, you’ll need pruning shears or a serrated knife to trim a palm tree, or you can use a specialized pruning saw instead of a chainsaw.

Homeowners are usually not responsible for trees that fall on power lines. Power companies usually have utility easements around power lines, which give them the responsibility to maintain any trees within about 15 to 20 feet of the lines.

Whether you should remove the roots of a dead tree depends on whether they’re damaging nearby areas. For instance, if the roots continue to grow near sidewalks, driveways, or the foundation of your home, they can cause damage. If you want to plant something else in that spot, removing the roots can make it easier for the new tree or plant to grow.
