"From start to finish we could not have asked for a better experience. I chose Cedar Creek Fences because of the exemplary Angi’s reviews and Dave and his crew did not disappoint. The quality of the work is top notch. From Dave’s first visit to final stain I give the entire experience an A+. I would recommend Cedar Creek Fences to anyone looking for a high quality fence at a fair price."

"Francisco did a great job refinishing and painting the iron fence around our property and the gates going into our courtyard. They look brand new! He was very professional and we highly recommend his services."

"Great, the work was preformed inside of 3 hours. The purpose of the work was to fulfill repair requests from the inspector (we are selling our home). The gate now closes smoothly. They also secured the fence edge by the house without drilling into the brick. The sprinkler heads only needed adjusting, turned out none of them were damaged. All cracks in the concrete were sealed up with Hydraulic Mortar. I am recommending them to my relators so they can use them in the future."

"I would highly recommend Buzz Fencing for any Fencing needs. They replaced our aging wooden fencing with new iron fencing. All work was professional and the wife and I are extremely happy with the new fence. Pricing was competitive too."

"Both men seemed knowledgeable about all aspects of the remodel. To hear them describe the products they use, they most likely use higher quality materials than many remodelers. But usually those cost more, where typical materials will do.. They took two and a half weeks to get back to me, (apparently the norm, but seems excessive to me) and we made an appointment to go over the estimate in person. The estimate was extremely detailed, which I appreciated, and I liked that they wanted to go over it in person. However, it was somewhat misleading, in that the bottom line price was really NOT the bottom line, since many things were listed in the estimate as optional, but were not really. By the time everything was added up, the cost was nearly 10K more than the estimate read. Maybe that's just the way they write estimates. Also, looking at the design, I felt they had not listened to me: the plan did not include a cut out for a vanity, it used dark wood instead of painted white, and they got the windows wrong, The estimate called for pre-fabricated cabinets, which are particle board with veneer, except for the doors, which are wood. "The industry standard," but that doesn't mean it's good. Other estimates I got use solid ash, so there will be no water damage later, and at a lower cost than they provided. While they said they could do custom cabinets, the price would have jumped even further. I did not like the design of a linen closet with a door: built ins will look much nicer and hold as much. While I realize my original budget was too low, I have raised that some and I'm still getting most of what I want. Bottom line: if you have a lot of money to spend on a remodel, these guys are probably fine.

"Not so well, he used the same paint he did for the siding on my doors and now the paint on the doors are now peeling and melting away.  There is paint now on the windows and paint is on the doorknob as well.  Also where he put siding there is a big hole around the electrical socket where they cut too much away and also around the lock on one of my doors.  I have emailed him to come and fix the problem and he has not responded."

"We hired Recon fencing to install wrought iron fencing, entry archway and 20’ entry gates. Very satisfied with their work. Our neighbors hired them as well to install wrought iron fencing and gates after seeing the quality of their work. Nice guys as well and veteran owned!"

Wrought Iron questions, answered by experts

Wrought iron is durable, secure, and adds an elegant aesthetic to its properties.

A horizontal fence is typically more expensive to build than a vertical fence, often costing between 10% and 20% more. The higher cost is due to the need for a higher grade of lumber and more posts to prevent the boards from sagging, which increases both material and labor expenses. Despite the higher price, horizontal fences tend to be more durable and offer a more distinct, modern look compared to the more common vertical picket style. However, they may not be the best option for privacy, as there can be slight gaps between the horizontal rails.

The depth of the fence posts depends on the height of your fence. If you’re installing a 6-foot fence, then digging 2-foot-deep holes for the fence posts will help ensure a secure installation. However, if you’re installing an 8-foot fence, the posts will need to be deeper than 2 feet to support the structure properly. Also, consider how far apart the fence posts should be to provide adequate support.

Installation typically takes 2-5 days, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

Installing a fence when the ground is frozen presents challenges, but it's possible with the right approach. First, mark and measure the fence line accurately. Use a power auger or manual post-hole digger to create holes in the frozen ground, ideally when it's less rigid during warmer parts of the day. Consider using pre-made fence post anchors or driving metal posts into the ground. Ensure posts are secure with concrete for stability. Allow extra time for the concrete to cure. Additionally, be cautious of frost heave, which may affect post-alignment. Installing in milder winter conditions is often more manageable.
