"This is our fourth year having Brandon Alpert, BA'S Carpet Cleaning, clean our carpets and furniture. In the past, we had the big name carpet cleaners do the carpets. There was always something they would miss and we never felt like the cleaners were very well versed in carpet cleaning. When Brandon came the first time to clean, he was professional, verified with us the rooms we wanted cleaned, and then he took the time to explain the process and made sure there were NO SURPRISES! We love that kind of preliminary customer service. There is no one else we will call to clean our carpets. When he is done cleaning, the drying time is less than a day for us. We had fans on in every room and lowered the air temp (it was June) to handle the humidity. The next morning the air was so clean, dust in the air was gone. Oh, I almost forgot, we have a dog. Hair is gone and pet smells are gone. Brandon is the best!!"

Customers say: True professional

"Just had gutter cleaning with Ed's Window and Gutter Cleaning. The owner of Ed's did a thorough cleaning with his powerful and neat power pressure wash tool, at a very reasonable price. He is also responsive in making appointment and courteous when on site doing the cleaning. I would use his service again. Highly recommend."

"Mr. Alvarez and his crew arrived on the scheduled date at the scheduled time. They covered everything in the areas to be repaired, did their prep work and moved items quickly and effeciently to give themselves ready access to the walls. Everything was covered but I never saw any evidence that any paint ever dripped. They cleaned up before they left each day and left us with rooms still usable until they returned the next day. He textured our walls to match the texture done by the builder but his work is so superior that we may have to have him back just to bring the other walls up to that standard.

"Monica's Cleaning Services exceeded our expectations. Our move-out cleaning was comprehensive. We requested a sweep-out, and literally all services were wiped, swept, and appliances were cleaned. Light fixtures, blinds, walls, bathrooms, and the kitchen were left in excellent condition. We got our entire security deposit back. We look forward to working with this team again."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

To neutralize mildew smell, you can use natural deodorizers like baking soda or activated charcoal. Baking soda absorbs odors; sprinkle it liberally on the affected area, let it sit for a few hours, then vacuum it up. Activated charcoal, available in pouches, works similarly. Vinegar, with its natural acidic properties, can also neutralize odors. Mix equal parts water and vinegar, spray the affected area lightly, then blot it with a dry cloth. Enzymatic cleaners are effective too, breaking down odor-causing compounds.

To clean an estate, start by locating all important documents, which you’ll need to sort through. Have the mail forwarded, change the locks, and take inventory of the entire estate. Once you know what you’re dealing with, create a plan and a timeline for the cleanout. Start clearing out rooms and sorting items to donate, sell, or get rid of. Finally, deep clean the property.

A few times per week, take a damp, soapy cloth and wipe down your faucet. Pay close attention to the spout, wiping it thoroughly to remove any mineral deposits. Also, once a month, wipe the cloth with a vinegar and water solution. After application, run your water to rinse the spout thoroughly, freeing any debris that might be hanging on.

Most people perform the bulk of their household cleaning tasks once a week. Since a whole-home, top-to-bottom weekly cleaning can take up a significant chunk of time, break weekly tasks up by day so you don’t have to lose your whole weekend to cleaning and maintaining your house. Many people also find the cost of a house cleaner to be worth it to help keep their home clean if it’s hard to find the time themselves.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.
