Customers say: True professional

"Quick response. They were thorough and very knowledgeable. They showed up when they said they would. They gave me a full report the same day and I'm very happy about that. They were able to do the job within 5 days and that's one of the reasons why we went with them."

"Dan arrived quickly and assessed the damage. He set up dryers and pulled off baseboards and Sheetrock to dry things out. He came out on Christmas Eve and then back again on Christmas Day to check to see how dry things were and to make some adjustments. He was professional, prompt and courteous!"

"I’ve been very happy with this service and have used them a few times now. They are reasonably priced, professional, always on time, and very friendly. We tend to have boxes that pile up, along with things we need to discard, and our neighborhood bulk pick up isn’t always reliable, so we call Junk Genius and they get the job done!"

"I would definitely choose Texas Biohazard. We had an unfortunate event in our home that led to a blood spill. They were professional and kind and did a great cleaning up the blood. The owner Troy was amazing. He helped mom through everything. He even stayed an hour after cleanup was done. Good to know that companies and people still care. Thank you"

"Chimera is very responsive, he followed up quickly, came out ASAP, he even followed up afterward to make sure we were satiafied. He also came out to fix our faucet a week later and charged less than a plumber and solved the issue the day of the call! He was wonderful to work with and I would definitely recommend!"

"Mr. Barber came out, looked at my project, gave me a quote and started the following week. He started on a Thursday and finished Sunday. His work is professional and he does it the old school way, with attention to detail, not in a rush. He makes suggestions that you may not be aware of, to give your finished product that professional look, which he guarantees. It’s hard to find craftsman’s these days that want to take their time and do the job right. If you’re looking for someone who has those work ethics, Mr. Barber is your man. The garage turned out great! Just like he guaranteed."

"I turned to Angie’s List to find someone to do some excavation work & leveling for an above ground swimming pool. We purchased our pool in April and reached out to at least a dozen or more companies and they were all either no shows or no response (even after providing us with a quote). It has been beyond frustrating because it was now July and no pool!! So I called Daylon with Giddens & Assoc and immediately got a response back. He came out that same day to look at our property and go over the project. He spent well over an hour discussing our plans & ideas for the project and provided us with a quote by that same evening. We we’re very impressed with him and his enthusiasm for his work so we scheduled a date and a week later he and his crew showed up and knocked it out. He’s personable, punctual, responsive, knowledgeable, and dependable. He does exactly what he says he’s going to do, period! We are very pleased with Giddens & Assoc and would definitely recommend them in the future!!!"

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

Putting off cleaning your fridge is a bad idea for a few reasons. For one, any food spills can build up, making it much harder to clean your fridge when you finally do get around to it. Plus, any stray pickle juice or leaky leftovers are a recipe for a stinky fridge.

But beyond that, if you don’t clean your fridge, it could be a health hazard. Old food can turn moldy and old spills can too. Even if none of that scares you, putting off cleaning your fridge will make it look downright gross, which should be reason enough to break out your sponge.

Professionals are trained in identifying hazardous materials and utilize industry-approved methods for safe handling and disposal. They adhere to regulatory frameworks to protect health and the environment, ensuring all materials are disposed of safely and responsibly.

It is not advisable to stay in a house with black mold. Exposure to black mold, or any mold, can lead to health problems, especially for vulnerable individuals such as children, the elderly, or those with weakened immune systems. Black mold produces mycotoxins, which can cause respiratory issues, skin irritation, fatigue, and headaches. If black mold is detected, it is crucial to evacuate the premises, seek professional help for remediation, and only return once the area is thoroughly cleaned and confirmed mold-free by experts.

Water damage doesn’t always cause mold and wood rot, but it can. Both mold and wood rot require moisture in the wood to form, so water damage that continues to leave water or moisture behind can lead to both issues. Water damage and mold often go hand-in-hand, but you can prevent mold growth after water damage by addressing the source of moisture and drying out the area quickly. The same goes for wood rot. The longer you let water damage go, the higher the risk of mold and rot.

No. When dry, mold enters a dormant state. While “sleeping,” the mold won’t multiply, but when it encounters moisture again, it springs back to life, releasing spores. That's why it's crucial to not only control humidity but also actively eliminate mold to prevent its resurgence and further growth inside your home.
