He showed me the old one, compared to the new one and explained why it was leaking. On the toilet, the seal had been replaced 6 years ago under the home warranty but it started leaking in the front - left and right sides. The earlier leak had been behind the toilet. He showed me the new seal after it was installed and explained just what he had done. He said if there was a small crack in the toilet itself, it was hard to detect but sometimes that happened. It looked to be okay on Friday, the day he did the repair. Then on Saturday there was a small amount of dampness behind the toilet - also on Sunday. It would have been undetectable unless you were looking for it and I did not feel that it was a cracked toilet. I checked again on Monday and every day since, and it is completely dry."
