Customers say: True professional

"Adam and Robert were honest and professional and they did a great job installing my new wood fence. They did the work on time and on budget and cleaned up my property when they were done. They also did a perfect job on a small drywall repair in addition to the fence project. I'm very happy with their work."

"Jose and his crew did an excellent job. Tore down three wood fences and installed two new wood fences to replace. They accommodated my schedule and last-minute requests without question. Clean-up was great. I would hire them again without question."

"Abraham gave us an estimate in February which was lower than one of the big fence companies. Due to the whole Covid thing, they were backed up with work until May. In the end, I’m glad we waited. They removed an old chain link fence and replaced it with a 6ft. cedar fence. The fence was done with galvanized screws instead of nail gun and we chose pipe instead of 4x4 wood for uprights. This fence will last a long time."

"Originally we had them do some clean up on our land (they were awesome & even did extra that we did not ask for). We were talking to them afterwards & told them we were also looking to patch the stucco on our house & build a fence. We've ended up hiring them for both other jobs. They've already patched & painted our stucco. It was really well done, they are happy working with each other, they laugh & enjoy their work. Both jobs they've done for us, they have done extra work without us asking them to. We cannot say enough good things or compliments about Maynor, Brian & their team. Awesome guys, really hard workers, polite, kind & fun."

"Great company and great folks. They were prompt in getting our fence installed and it turned out great. They are a local company and even reached out a couple of times after to check in on the fence. I would recommend them to anyone for fencing work."

"He did an excellent job of welding the corner posts, braces and gate posts and install a net wire fence and gates for us. He has also done several other repair jobs on various equipment. Highly recommended."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Most residential fencing projects in Albuquerque are completed within two to five days, depending on the fence length, material, and site conditions. Rocky or uneven terrain common in some Albuquerque neighborhoods can extend installation time. Custom designs or permit delays may also impact the schedule. For the most accurate timeline, consult with a local fence contractor familiar with Albuquerque's permitting process and soil conditions.

Helpful?

For fence installation in Albuquerque, consider materials that withstand the dry, sunny climate and sandy soils. Wood offers a traditional look but requires frequent sealing due to intense sun exposure. Vinyl and composite are popular for low maintenance and UV resistance. Metal fences resist rust well in Albuquerque's arid conditions, while chain link is budget-friendly but provides less privacy. Local suppliers often recommend materials suited for the region's weather extremes.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, fences require maintenance tailored to the local climate. Wood fences need annual sealing to prevent sun and termite damage, while metal fences benefit from periodic rust checks due to dust and wind exposure. Composite fences should be cleared of debris to avoid moisture buildup. The City of Albuquerque's Environmental Health Department recommends regular inspections, especially after monsoon season, to ensure stability and longevity.

Helpful?

For fencing projects in Albuquerque, the City of Albuquerque Planning Department requires a zoning permit for fences up to six feet tall, while anything taller needs a building permit. You'll need to provide a site plan and confirm your property boundaries. Always check local zoning ordinances, as neighborhood-specific rules or historic district guidelines may also apply. Contact the Planning Department for the most current requirements.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Albuquerque often overlook verifying property lines, leading to disputes or city code violations. Skipping required permits from the City of Albuquerque Planning Department can result in fines or removal orders. Choosing materials not suited for the local climate, such as untreated wood, is another frequent error. Neglecting to account for wind exposure or drainage can also compromise fence durability. Careful planning and adherence to local regulations help prevent these issues.
