Ortega's Appliance Service Today Inc

I have used Ortega's for the last five years to repair my washing machine, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Ortega's technicians are professional, knowledgeable, and the quality of their work is excellent. My latest call to Ortega's for an estimate to repair my dishwasher. The technician, his initials are RE, spent about 45 minutes troubleshooting our dishwasher. When he found the problem he gave a thorough explanation of what was needed to repair our dishwasher. In the end it was more cost effective to replace the dishwasher than repair it. I really appreciated the time RE took to explain the problem and my options. I would definitely recommend Ortega's Appliance Service.

DO NOT USE. About a month ago our dishwasher washing pump went out. I knew exactly what the issue was. I’ve hired Ortega’s in the past. Scheduled, tech arrived and within 10 minutes he states it’s the pump and the mother board due to 2 fuses being blown. Which I found hard to believe. He gave this outrageous quote and said it could take a year to get a motherboard shipped. Got a second opinion from a different company and they confirmed it was only the pump, and that Ortega’s was price gouging and making up repairs just to squeeze people for more money. Ortega’s take advantage of the fact that people will pay practically anything to get their appliances fixed. Avoid this company.

They did not give up on the problem that I had, they persevered, they had to come back 4 times to get the problem solved and they only charged me for one visit, even the owner came out to check and solve my problem, they eventually discovered that the fan I needed was no longer available, the final advice was to put back the original fan, and putting back the old fan solved the issue of the freezer. I have used them twice already and will definitely use them again in the future.

Excellent service. The technician was very well qualified and professional, and cleaned up after himself very well, even going so far as to wipe off fingerprints from the stainless steel exterior. I would recommend Ortega's without reservation.

I had a fantastic experience with Ortega’s appliance. They were prompt and very professional.

Found problem quickly and repaired.

When I explained the symptoms to the technician, he immediately diagnosed the problem as a plugged drain vent. He cleaned it out and then checked the dishwasher performance. The problem is solved. He also had some good advice about avoiding the problem in the future.

Very well, we continue to use their services

He was great! He did a wonderful job and his customer service was wonderful. He explained things well and said I have 45 days if I have problems for them to come out with no charge. He let me know what kind of extra services I could get. I will use them again and have recommended them to others.

Ortega's tech (Joe) showed up on time diagnosed the issue, performed the work he could do and ordered the required parts. He showed up the following week with the required parts, installed them, but the load of the new motor shorted out a circuit board. Normally the refrigerator would have been out of service for at least a week while the board was rebuild. Joe knew we were having 20 people to the house over the weekend and he took the initiative to locate a new part, returned the same day and installed it. He was also driving a domestic branded van, which is a positive since we need to support US industry.

The service part was great. The technician was familiar with the Whirlpool washer and painstakingly diagnosed what could be wrong for almost two hours. The news wasn't good -- the washer needs to be replaced since the entire electronic system is shot. However, rather than try replacing expensive parts here and there and hope for the best -- he had experience with this problem with Whirlpools -- he advised me that the parts and service would likely be close to the cost of a new washer and recommended replacement. This is my second experience with Ortega's. I find them competent, professional, and honest. I will continue to use them as my appliance repair company of choice.

The stove is now working again.

I e-mailed Ortega's on Sunday night through their web-site for an appointment and as of Wednesday, I have no response from them. I asked them to call me at their convenience as I feel this situation is a bit dangerous and no reply. Disappointed! Why would a company have an on-line contact form is they don't respond? That speaks volumes to me. Perhaps this review will get their attention.

Wonderful! Stanley did a beautiful job.  He was very courteous and professional (he even wore booties around his shoes while in my house).  He gave me all kinds of good advice on the other appliances in my house as well.  I will use Ortega's for all of my future appliance servicing needs, and highly recommend them!

I will never call another appliance service company, and recommend them to everyone I know (which I rarely do).  Ortega's has friendly phone service, and the best repair personnel around. Everyone I encountered on each service were helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. In both repair cases, I was expecting to be without the appliance for weeks (which stinks when it is the dishwasher and dryer with two kids), but both were fixed almost immediately.  In the case of the dryer, I was without for less than 24 hours!   Not sure how they do it, but I was very pleased!!
