"Amazing! I had mold that had been growing in a underside cabinet from a leaking sink and became very worried. Robert and Juan worked hard to remove all the mold, replace extra drywall and seal and clean all the mess. I will always use Landmark for my painting and drywall needs!"

"It went wonderfully. They reinforced and leveled our subfloor with additional material and screws and built the walls up from damaged exposed drywall paper to a great level textured paintable surface. Great work."

"As a first time homebuyer and a young single female without any prior remodeling experience, I was very apprehensive about hiring someone to remove the popcorn ceilings from my entire house. Noe and his team exceeded my expectations in their time efficiency, quality of work, and cost that I hired him mid-job to install an exterior French patio door, remove cabinets/ re-drywall the laundry area and paint the entire interior and exterior. His ability to translate my Pinterest desires into realistic options that fit both my budget and my extremely specific aesthetic taste is unmatched. How often will you hear a contracted professional talk you out of doing a $10,000 project for a $5,000 project with very similar results?! I have referred North Painting Solutions to several friends already and will continue to do so. Quality work done the correct way is exactly what you can expect from Noe and his team."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Depending on the place where the cutting error occurred, you may be able to fix it. Learning how to patch a hole in drywall is challenging, but if you can tape and mud drywall, you can do it. Having said that, patching is time consuming. Early in the installation process, you may find that it’s easier and far less time consuming to just start over with a new sheet of drywall, cutting a new hole in the right spot. You may be able to use part of the incorrectly cut piece elsewhere, so it’s not completely wasted.

While fumigation chemicals cannot pass through solid objects, they will seep into any openings in walls, doors, or other closed spaces. This allows them to get into tight places where pests may be hiding and causing damage, like termites ruining the foundation of your home. It also means that your home needs to ventilate for 48 hours before returning to ensure that no harmful chemicals remain in your space.

Some textures are easier than others to DIY, but the short answer is yes, you can absolutely texture walls yourself. You’ll need certain materials, like a trowel or paint sprayer, but the most important things you’ll need are patience and time. DIYing wall texture can save money and be a fun, messy project, but homeowners need to know that adding texture to a wall isn’t a quick project.

In framing, studs are placed at 16-inch intervals to coincide with the typical spacing of wall materials such as drywall or plywood. This spacing is called "on-center" and is necessary for maintaining structural stability and efficient use of materials. The 16-inch spacing also helps to distribute the weight evenly across the building's structure. For those looking to cut material costs and improve energy efficiency, 24-inch stud spacing can be employed through a method called "advanced framing". This requires careful planning and adherence to local building codes to ensure structural integrity.

Regularly in areas prone to moisture or high traffic to catch issues early.
