"The first trip out, went sour. I left very explicit instructions for the driver to contact me multiple times so I personally could be there to witness and give instruction about the pipes inside of the tank also to provide payment ? This is a rental property the tenants shouldn't have to deal with this, they are nice older folks! The fist appt didn't happen, I get that. There is a lot of things that are unforeseen. The second appt,The contact didn't happen. He came pumped the tank and left. Not changing the pipes as requested, along with telling them how bad the tank was and was totally full, that it hadn't been pumped for years ( the same company pumped it a year ago ) Along with almost insisting on payment right then for the tenants! It kind of shook them a little, they are nice older people. There were 3 phone calls fired to me bright and early the next morning wanting payment for services performed ASAP. As if it were my fault they were not paid or like I wasn't going to! I just wanted my tank fixed, because something kept plugging it at the inlet it had only been a year since pumped last, with 2 older people living there and it was a 1000 gal tank. A couple phone calls and a visit to the buisness I got another truck scheduled and another week, the second trip out went ok. All of that for 1 phone call that wasn't made. Hey, could have been a new driver, or maybe having a bad day or two, but still some things happened there that no way should have."

"Josh was easy to work with and very accommodating. He was quick to visit the worksite and provide an estimate. I wanted a particular Heat pump hot water heater, and he installed exactly what I needed. After installation, he helped coordinate the inspection. I highly recommend Allied Mechanical & Plumbing."

"They responded quickly to our request for bids with a price and time frame that significantly beat the other contractor we contacted. They showed up and pumped out the septic tank as requested. They worked hard to unplug the pipe flowing into the tank. They were very friendly, courteous and helpful."

"Updated to four stars: After submitting this review originally, Sean called me and took full responsibility for the situation. They committed to improve the experience for other customers and gave me an appropriate discount for my time and inconvenience. I am grateful they are responsive and took this seriously. Thank you for your respect, Dr. Energy Saver! Previous review: two stars. Unfortunately, this has been a very difficult experience for me to address standing water & drainage in my crawl space. I agreed to work with Dr. Energy Saver back in October, hoping to have the work done before the rains started. However, the work was just completed on December 31. The communication of the team was absolutely horrible - with each of the team members understanding that my project was at different points. I was told it was done multiple times - with the piping above-ground, and an alarm that was supposed to be installed still in the box. Brandon and his team finally got it figured out and did a great job communicating, but there was still confusion between the manager, Sean, and the office staff, who even threatened via phone to put a lean on my home, even though I had been calling and emailing them. Grateful to Brandon for his work, and his respectfully addressing my concerns. However, the rest of the team really needs to fix their communication and customer service."

"Several issues were found when Fred opened the wall. The previous owner had run wiring and plumbing in a manner not complying with current standards. Also had to cut concrete floor to put in drain. Fred did an excellent job of overcoming these issues and getting my shower installed and also completed a closet for me."

"My project involves replacing a tub drain shoe in my claw foot tub. The first visit to remove the old shoe has been accomplished and the next step will be to order/buy a new drain shoe and then the plumber will come back to install the new shoe after it arrives. The work so far has been done quickly, competently, and at a reasonable price."

Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
It’s possible to fix a broken well pump yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Well pumps are hard to reach and service without the proper equipment, and even if you can reach the pump, it involves working in close proximity to water and electricity, which can be extremely dangerous. Any mistakes made during the repair process could contaminate your water supply or put you and your home at risk. Additionally, some states require that a licensed plumber carry out well pump repair. It’s worth it to hire a professional water pump repair service.
The average cost to repair a well pump is $950, with most well pump repairs ranging between $100 and $2,900. A few factors influence your total repair cost, including the component of your well that needs repair or replacement, the extent of the damage, the accessibility of the pump, and the age and size of your well pump. It might be more cost-effective to replace your well pump if it’s old or has multiple broken components, as the average cost to replace a well pump is $1,800.
Typically, plumbing repairs cost about $325 per job but can range from $175 to $4,000 or more. Simple fixes, such as a toilet repair, will be less expensive at around $150 to $400. However, if you have a pipe that has burst, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $4,000 or more.
The project that needs to be completed, the size of your home, and the type of plumbing pipes you have can all impact the final cost. External factors such as supply chain issues and shortage of materials all play a part in how much this repair might be.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
