"I asked for estimates from two roofing companies to replace fascia boards so gutters could be put up the following week. Jason scheduled his crew on Sunday in order to do this. The other company wouldn't even bid on this saying I was past due for a new roof and they'd only do if I had them replace the whole roof. They gave e a quote for new roof. I asked Jason for a quote for a new roof. His bid was thousands of dollars less AND he was able to juggle his schedule so they could do everything the following week so gutters could be put up. I HIGHLY recommend Building Envelope System Techs!!"

"Jason was responsive, punctual, and honest. When his crews arrived, they got right to work and worked hard until the job was done. The roof looks great and I am confident that my leaks are gone. The guys made sure to close the gates as they worked so my dogs would not escape and they thoroughly cleaned up when they were done. Great experience--- I believe that Jason and his crew recognize that customers pay their bills and that personal referrals are like gold. I feel like they went out of their way to make sure that I had a great experience; however I suspect that my experience is the Orezona standard. Give Jason a call, you won't regret it."

"We hired A&E construction and painting to put on a new roof, paint our entire home exterior, and install new gutters. Their bids were significantly lower than all others and they worked with us on our timeline. They were respectful of our budget and didn’t push us to do more than was necessary. We upgraded the vents in our roof for a very reasonable price. The neighbors stopped by frequently to comment on how wonderful it looks! I’m now hiring them for some inside work. I trust them to do quality work at reasonable prices. I highly recommend A&E !!!"

"Gus, owns this company. He was a subcontractor for DeBella who was contracted to do our root. When we had problems we played tag with DeBella for two years. I finally contacted the subcontractor and let him know I would be filing suit for repairs. He was completely unaware of the damage repair requests. He was able to work and secure the proprietary roofing of DeBella from another company to get the repair made. Even while deathly ill he managed to guide his workers to make the necessary repairs in a vary timely manner. I would recommend him hands down. Very personable. DeBella did not make any attempt to stand behind their guarantee and warrantee< Sadly. I do not recommend them."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Springfield often overlook how weather delays, especially during the wet season, can extend project timelines. Permit requirements for roof replacement over certain sizes and local energy efficiency codes add complexity. Many underestimate the need for upgraded underlayment, improved attic ventilation, and moss-resistant materials, all of which are important for long-term durability in Springfield’s damp climate.

Helpful?

Springfield’s frequent rain and high humidity require enhanced moisture barriers and effective roof drainage systems. Tree coverage around homes increases the risk of moss growth, making moss-resistant roofing materials essential. Many properties also have intricate rooflines or outdated attic ventilation, so addressing these factors during roof repair or replacement ensures your new roof performs well in Springfield’s unique environment.

Helpful?

In Springfield, it’s time to consider roof repair or replacement if you notice moss or algae growth, cracked or missing shingles after storms, or granules collecting in your gutters. Water stains on ceilings, especially during the rainy season, also indicate trouble. If your asphalt roof is nearing 20 years old, it’s smart to plan ahead for a roof replacement to avoid unexpected leaks.

Helpful?

You’ll need to choose between options like moss-resistant shingles or metal roofing to handle Springfield’s wet weather. Selecting roof colors, deciding on attic ventilation upgrades, and considering gutter or insulation improvements are common decisions. Homeowners also help set the project schedule, approve any necessary structural repairs discovered during the job, and handle paperwork for permits, HOA approvals, or insurance claims if storm damage is involved.

Helpful?

If you notice moss buildup, curled or missing shingles, or granule loss, roofing work is likely needed. Interior water stains may signal a roof leak, but also check gutters and window seals for issues. Ice dams or attic mold often point to ventilation or insulation problems. Sagging rooflines or widespread leaks should be evaluated by a roofing professional for accurate diagnosis.
