Drained heater that evening. Next day he removed old heater, took it to Home Depot, picked up new heater and installed it.

Steve kept playing games and would not give me a single receipt and he tried to talk and tell me how much of a favor he was doing me. He left broken water lines, his mess from working on the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. He seemed very meticulous and knowledgable at first very generous and genuine. I am usually a great judge of character, but I got scammed. He put the wrong wires together on the call swithch and I kept calling him for help approximately a month and a half because it caused two electrical fires and we were running out of water every single day. I have proof of the text messages and phone call interactions . Finally he came back by acd changed the burnt switch and uncrossed the wires and it worked great until I just found out yesterday that the well pump he bought over the course of the summer is burnt up . I'm screwed because I have him 500$ for a brand new one and he need gave me a receipt and I wasn't home when he brought the new pump home so it could be one off off old well he dug up. If my water heater goes out I'm done for because he REFUSES after nicely begging him as a single mother trying to keep my head above water. I've even had prior look at it first installed and they said "Jess, that is no a new water heater." I trusted him and he knew when I called him I told him my dad died it makes me sick that someone is so unprofessional that they can't give someone $4000 in receipts for stuff they paid for and act like you put brand new parts in my house. He could be doing this just be aware ask for receipts don't want other people parts that could be refurbished put in your home when you're paying for brand new and trusting a 5 star company!!!!. I got scammed and robbed

"Hal cleaned it, thoroughly inspected it. He replaced several wire connections ( unit is 29 yo) and checked the Freon level/ pressure. He stated the unit was still functional despite its age and encouraged us to start looking for a replacement as our unit is nearing the end of its reliability but did not pressure us to buy a new one.
