Entire process from scheduling initial consultation to installation went smooth. Darren was very responsive every step of the way and the new sump pulp looks much better than the old.

Drainage And Waterproofing Solutions
5.0
During a hard rainstorm, we found water gushing in from around the water pipe, where it enters the basement through the concrete block foundation. We called Drainage & Waterproofing Solutions for help. Their crew arrived on time and did high-quality work. Outside the foundation they excavated five feet of soil to just below the waterline entrance, sealed around the waterline, cleaned and parged the brick foundation, applied waterproofing to the wall, then two layers of waterproof membrane, and gravel fill before filling the remainder with soil. Inside, they sealed around the waterline where it enters the basement. They left the outside as clean as they found it. Drainage & Waterproofing Solutions are experienced professionals that do quality work at a fair price

They cleaned up really well. They did not damage any of my plant life. As far as I can see, they really did a nice job. They worked hard, in the minute they got here until they finished. I would rate them a five. I actually consider them doing another job, I really like it when people responded. They are just very pleasant to deal with. They do it when they say they'll gonna do it. Very polite, very courteous. That really means a lot to me. When I decided not to go with their proposed gutter helmet , I just told them them to clean and reinstalled the original gutter helmet, they had no problem. They didn't create any issue, they were very nice. I felt good with the interaction, very professional. I don't recommend anybody until I know that they did a good job and they really did a good job. They were also very well priced. They were very reasonable

Shamrock Waterproofing
5.0
Shamrock waterproofing was recommended when we moved from another state into an older home 2 years ago. The job was completed before we moved in; and, we were impressed with the number of workers from other service companies (our handyman, Termite specialist, HVAC installing our duct system), who commented on the quality of the job that Shamrock did, one of them saying “who did your crawl space, it’s immaculate”. Now, 2 years later, we needed a drain system to re-direct storm water in our sloping back yard, and were delighted that Shamrock could do the job. Keith came by within a couple days and explained options and a very fair quote for approximate install in 6 weeks. Michelle, in their office, was so cooperative—she was on top of scheduling, and arranged the date around our vacation plans. As the appointment neared, I took videos of the rainwater and emailed them just so they could see the issue in action. Andrew (a supervisor) felt it was a good idea to come by before the job to check the area out to make sure the plan was on target. On the day of the job, the crew showed up on time, and started to work. They ran into obstacles that they didn’t count on—digging through unexpected tree roots and a lot of clay, as well as 100˚ heat; but, they seemed to take it in stride—working non-stop. When the job was complete, they walked me through the process, pointing out each part of the job, explaining the reasons for lowering dirt in one area, raising it in other areas. It all made sense. And, they paid attention when I requested that they try to dig for the pipe in one area to avoid removing as much grass as possible. They managed to replace the grass in that area so that it looked undisturbed. The workers (Ryan, Oscar and Alberto) were a dedicated team who were respectful, professional, and did the job with seeming care of our yard. We highly recommend Shamrock Waterproofing, and appreciate a job well done

Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair

Great! The work was done last November and I chose to wait a couple months to see if the fix would last over time. It did! They also had another drainage issue that I was unaware of. Fixed that too at no extra charge. I had 3 estimates. I picked Falcone because their solution made the most sense to me...and they had the lowest cost estimate. Great people to work with. They installed a french drain,a sump pump, and reran gutter downspouts

Nothing short of blown away by Mitch’s and Alex’s work ethic, professionalism, and quality workmanship. The final product was incredible. Our house thanks you. In addition to stabilizing our foundation over a period of two full workdays (they worked diligently and respectfully), they placed a new moisture barrier throughout our crawlspace. It looked so good afterward, I joked we were going to rent it out as an apartment! Thanks again guys! Exceptional

We got a discount from Angie's List. They came in and they did the job the way they said they would, and they left. I like the way they came in and they told me what they were going to do. They removed anything in the crawlspace and put everything back when they were finished. They were in and out very quickly. I was really impressed with them. I thought it was a terrific deal. I called them and they took care of it. The quality of work was terrific. When I called, they were here within 2-3 days. They said they would be here by 8 and they were here by quarter to 8. They left by 10.30

The crawlspace tune-up went fine. I ended up having the whole crawlspace re-worked, but I didn't have them do it; I had another company do it. Everything was fine. They did their job, they showed up on time, and everything was fine with them. As a result of their inspection, I needed additional work done and then I got a couple of bids, and their bid was too high so I went with another company

They came the day after we called. They even came early in the morning because we both work and couldn't be home all day. They gave us an estimate based on the total sq. footage but when they got under the house they found that part of the house, the addition, already had a vapor barrier so they lowered the price substantially. I had no idea part of the house was already protected, and they easily could have not told us. They also gave us inexpensive tricks to keep the house drier in the future

Healthy Home Restoration was established in Cary NC in 2004. HHR has specialized in solving complex problems in crawlspaces related to humidity, pest and mold and is considered the top company in the Triangle area for crawlspace problem resolution and energy evaluation/improvements. Over time sealed and conditioned crawlspaces became the preferred method for constructing crawlspaces under homes. The process of conditioning a crawlspace is so successful it created an entire new industry. As a ..
"HHR was by far the most comprehensive mold remediation and sealed crawlspace service company I have ever used. Their incredible reviews here on Angie's List are the reason I contacted them initially. They just completed a difficult emergency water damage/mold remediation/sealed crawlspace job on my son's house in two phases. Dennis (owner) and his service team lead (Juan) were top notch professionals from estimation to completed project. If you want a concise yet detailed and credible education on indoor air quality, look no further than Dennis! I spent some time working in this industry many years ago, so I knew Dennis wasn't passing incorrect information. I had a sealed crawlspace completed 3 years ago on my main house by another company and they did an ok job. HHR is the difference between an ok job and a fantastic correctly performed job. The Soil Contaminant Ventilation (SCV) system was a HUGE plus and did not add any expense to the job. Of the other 4 companies I had bids from, none of them except HHR offered the comprehensive measures to address indoor air quality AFTER job completion (even in a sealed and covered crawlspace, the soil gasses have to go somewhere). The SCV is the solution and it gently exhausts soil/crawlspace air to the outside via a quiet, small and durable fan and pipe run. HHR's cost estimate was right in the middle of the 4 I bid out. The new crawlspace door Juan and his crew built seals tight yet is easy to open. Fantastic company!

"Keith Locker presented Shamrock in a most professional manner for an estimate of work to be done in a basement closet. The closet has two walls which are part of the cinderblock foundation. Although these walls do not leak, the efflorescence was both unsightly and rubbed off on anything that touched it. Shamrock was able to work me into their schedule early and I greatly appreciated it. The work, however, was less than professional. While the back wall looked great (so I know they can do good work), the side wall looked decidedly less so. While I am perfectly aware that basement walls are imperfect, I know that they could have done better on the side wall based on the back wall. When I asked about the issue with the side wall, Shamrock shrugged that that was the best they could do. When I asked Keith to review the pictures that I would send to Angie's List with this review, he complained that I was insufficiently appreciative of the work done and about how little money he had made on the job. I had planned to give Shamrock a B, but his comments lowered this review to a C. He did give me a helpful hint about how I can remove the writing on the side wall trim. So that's something, I guess.

"Great! Sales/inspector (Patrick Valente) came, explained, negotiated AND literally did everything as contracted. No abandonment, no hidden fees added and no payment badgering when it unavoidably took longer than expected. They even helped expedite getting electrician. The system brought home humidity down from 58-60% to normal range 38-40% shown on my dehumidifier which I stopped using. This Spring it proved it's worth because I've not seen any giant water bugs that creepy in late night and/or stayed when it rained.

"Please be advised that this company is very friendly but will require a lot of your time and advocate for services that you do not want. We requested a quote and installation of a crawl space door system. A friendly rep spent 4 hours inspecting and discussing a range of solutions. When we requested installation of just the door system, they refused the service without additional thousands of dollars.

"Expensive work, but Master Services is a pro. The sales rep, Sammy, was very easy to work with. Danny and his crew did a great job with installation. They were prompt in getting to the work site in the morning, and they actually finished a day earlier than expected. The crew did a excellent job of cleaning up when they were finished. I will definitely recommend Master Services.

"The work was done well; however, the project was off schedule. Instead arriving on the appointed date with a crew of 4 for a 3-day job, the project manager arrived one day late with no crew. Even a week later, materials had not arrived, and only on days 7 and 8 were there more than one person on the job. So basically a big truck blocked my driveway for over a week. It may have been my error, but I thought after conversations with the sales person that this was a turnkey job; however, I was informed that I will have to hire an electrician to wire a fan they left. That part won't happen until next week. Only then will I see the full benefit of the work.
Crawl space encapsulation can reduce your energy consumption and prevent a wealth of costly issues, but is it necessary? Depends on what’s hiding under your home.
