"Moving to the city of Durham, NC from Los Angeles, CA, knowing nobody in this new city and having a very bad experience with the natural slate tile previously installed in my property in Los Angeles, I was very skeptical and cautious when working with any local installers for my request, again for natural slate tile installation for my new single family home construction in Treyburn Forest community of Durham. Julio, Mario and their tile crew at Santi Hardwood Flooring did the excellent tile job for the first floor with Brazilian Montauk blue 24"x24" natural slate tile and two shower rooms of this new construction. Julio and his Santi Hardwood Flooring teams continue to work on the second floor with Hickory solid hardwood planks. With his teams' great success in the natural slate tile installation, I have no doubt about his teams' skill on any solid hardwood installation which I believe, his teams are the experts. "Quality work, under budget and fast. Figma Construction has a professional, qualified and honest team. Mike and Kevin, carpenters, did quality work and an excellent job communicating when additional rot was found after siding was removed, Photographed the area, discussed repair approach and got my authorization before beginning work. Allison, project manager, made repeated inspections throughout the entire process and communicated frequently. She even identified repair work missed, that I didn't remember as part of our contract! Figma's painting and gutter contractors also had professional, qualified personnel that did excellent work. I contacted three other contractors and Figma's estimate was very competitive. Even with additions/changes, which we suspected would happen, the final cost was under the original estimate The work was completed much faster than what I though it was going to take. They started within one week of our contract date.show more

"Mr. Macedo and his crew did a fantastic job taking care of my floors. I replaced carpet with LVP in my living-room, master bedroom, hallways, and two other bedrooms. I found this company on Angie’s list and he was easy to contact and talk to. He came to get my measurements and had a quote prepared within a week. He works closely with a local supply chain which made picking out materials very simple. He let me choose whether to purchase the materials myself or let him handle it, either way I felt confident that I was purchasing the correct amount needed. I gave him my availability and he was happy to work around my schedule. Anytime I texted him, he was quick to answer any questions that I had. On the day he came to do the work, he had a crew with him that worked very well together. They were efficient, respectful to me, lighthearted and respectful to one another, and respected my home. It appeared that one of the crew was in training. Rafael and his brother watched him closely and gave him gentle tips and advice all day. I was impressed with their leadership skills. The other crew members were obviously masters of the craft and everyone worked so well that the job was finished in one day!!
