  • A G O'Brien Plumbing and Heating CO
I highly recommend AG Obrien. They came to fix some plumbing problems we were having and it was fixed rather quickly and the man was so nice and kind. Very nice people to deal with from the minute they answered the phone.

  • Bath Fitter
The salesman was knowledgeable and professional. The installer was on time and worked very hard to get the job done on time going above and beyond what we expected. He was very sensitive to our needs. When the work was completed the area was cleaned up nicely.

Just a short note to express our sincere “Thank You” for work performed on July 17th, 2020. Our family had arranged a birthday celebration for grandma’s 68th birthday. After a summer rearranging plans for graduations, marriages, and birthdays due to the covid virus, we made a date to meet at the cabin to celebrate. Two days before her birthday, we discovered the damage. Upon hearing of family needs, Brandau Plumbing rearranged work orders to assign master plumber Jeremiah to trouble shoot, repair, and return to service, both the pump and water heater. Exceptional response during these disruptive pandemic days. We are grateful. John Lane famil

  • American Sewer
Great friendly service. Called to let us know they were in the time frame they made. Called when 15 minutes away. Had a line cleaned at parents home Performed professionally & Rob was great to deal with

  • A G O'Brien Plumbing and Heating CO
AG O'Brien did a great job for us: we had a leaky pipe in our kitchen drain in a very inaccessible space. We called Chris Adatte and he had a team out to us quickly. Both plumbers on his team were very polite and professional. They were conscientious about cleaning up and mindful about not making a mess on our floor. The job only took a few hours for them to complete (another plumbing service quoted us possibly two days). Chris definitely "under-promised and over-delivered". The price for their services was fair as well. Highly recommend that anyone uses them

  • ASP Mechanical Inc
I was surprised with their responsiveness. Someone was to the house minutes after I called. They were able to install a new water heater what seemed like only minutes after; perhaps an hour. They discussed options and even reoriented the new heater so that it was easier to access if the pilot light goes out

  • ASP Mechanical Inc
Drew was my technician. What a wonderful, professional young man! He explained everything he was going to do, showed me how it worked when he was finished . Price was fair. I have used this company in the past and have never been anything but satisfied! I will never use another plumber but ASP!

  • Shubitz Plumbing & Heating
Very well. Called Chris on a Mon. And he had someone out the very next day. Professional & respectful man. Set to work, made the obligatory trip to a hardware store, returned to complete the task. Price was comparable to other plumbers in the area. Service and professionalism, much better.

  • Summit Mechanical Service Inc
Upon moving to Duluth in 2015, Summit has done about $20,000 of work for me. They do excellent work and all of their team are courteous, expert craftsmen. I was grateful to have such a reliable resource like Summit to call whenever I needed plumbing services. But then something changed. They over-billed me on the last job so I contested it. I have called several times to discuss the error, and though the office staff are good listeners, they cannot help me beyond saying they will have Warren or Jamon call me to discuss the invoice. After several calls, over several months, no one has yet returned my calls. I am concerned that this unpaid bill could affect my credit score, but I believe a $500 error is worth disputing. I regret to have to register this bad review because all of Summit's work has been excellent. I hope they will help me settle this dispute so I can give them the A rating that they deserve

  • North Country Heating Cooling & Refrigeration Inc
Kyle and his partner were on time and did an excellent job in installing shower, toilet, and dual sink vanity. Vanity top was perfectly aligned with the back of the log wall so no back splash was needed. Do to the location of the bathroom the plumbing was tricky but they managed it well. My wife was very pleased with the results

Plumbing FAQ

  1. How much does a plumber cost?

Answer: The cost of a plumber ranges from $175 to $480, with a national average of $330. However, the price will vary depending on job complexity, timing, location, supplies and materials, permits, and level of expertise. These costs typically include toilet repairs, faucet installations, and leaky pipes. In addition to the service call, you may also need to budget for haul-away and trip fees often required during more complicated jobs. Ask your local plumbing contractor about these fees before hiring them.

  2. How much does a plumber charge to replace a toilet?

Answer: On average, you can expect to pay your local plumbing contractor between $125 and $230 to replace an old toilet, with most residential homeowners paying around $150 to $180 for professional installation. You’ll need to consider materials and labor when calculating a final price. Not all toilets are equal. Depending on the brand you choose and the features you want, a new toilet might run you anywhere from $100 to $1,300. Add in the price of labor and installation, and your total project can jump up to $200 and $1,500.

  3. How much does a plumber cost to fix a toilet?

Answer: According to our service providers, it costs roughly $75 to $200 on average to have your toilet repaired. However, this price will vary depending on the complexity of the job and the materials needed for the fix. Repairs can be messy and less-than-pleasant to address, but having a functioning toilet is most definitely necessary. If you’re experiencing problems with your toilet, contact a local, reputable plumbing contractor right away, as avoiding repairs can lead to bigger—and more expensive—issues over time.

  4. Is liquid plumber safe for septic systems?

Answer: Good news! Liquid-Plumr® is safe for septic systems. Most drain cleaners disrupt the pH in your septic tank, which prevents the good bacteria from breaking down septic waste. The chemical make-up in Liquid-Plumr® works with the bacteria to break down waste quickly without harming your septic system. Still, it’s best to confirm with your local plumbing provider if Liquid-Plumr® is the right solution for your system.

  5. How much is it for a plumber to unclog a toilet?

Answer: Even the most well-maintained toilets experience clogs. It’ll cost you an average of $200 to $700 to unclog your toilet. Severe clogs will require a more comprehensive repair method, so check with your local plumbing contractor to determine the best approach for unclogging your toilet.

  6. Is Liquid-Plumr®, or any other liquid drain cleaner, safe for septic systems?

Answer: Yes and no. Liquid-Plumr® and other drain cleaners are most effective when used sparingly (one to three times a year). Repeated use of liquid plumber on drains could deteriorate your pipes and cause more damage. If your pipes clog frequently, put down the liquid plumber and call your local plumbing contractor immediately.
