"Basement Project We absolutely love our new basement! I was very nervous when selecting the contractor for this job. I interviewed three contractors for the job, all seem very decent, but what set Best Home apart was Jeff Segovia. He designed the whole layout of our basement (we love it) and oversaw the entire project from beginning to end. The construction crews were very polite and friendly. Best Home did an excellent job and very flexible with many changes I had and they completed the job on time (took 3 months and exactly 1 week)which was amazing. I am actually hiring them again for additional projects. I highly recommend Best Homes!"

"DO NOT HIRE!!!!!!! Completely unprofessional, BEWARE. They did a terrible job, and made a dent in the sink they installed and did not even mention it. They knew about the dent and tried to hide it. The caulking was also a disaster. They left a mess and did not clean up before leaving. They also didn't turn the water tightly shut enough and caused the water to leak and in the middle of the night came down stairs to find a large portion of the dry wall from the ceiling collapsed and ruined the entire carpet in the basement and our new furniture. We called them the next day to let them know and they responded that they did not cause the leak even though it is very clear that they did. I wish I never hired them. The project manager I spoke to on the phone, Jamal, was rude and very unprofessional. I would never recommend them! If I could give them 0 stars I would."

Not only was the workmanship and quality of the construction outstanding, but they operated with honesty and integrity. Their goal was our satisfaction and building a quality addition and deck. They accomplished all three and were reliable, dependable and conscientious. At no time did we believe that they had over-committed or were unable to deliver on what they had promised. They never cut corners to rush to another job nor did I ever feel that they were not spending the necessary time to ensure that the work on our job was thorough and complete. Travis, Kris and their crew were 100% professional, communicative and transparent. We will be using Washingtonian again, without hesitation. "After I terminated the lease of my tenant in early 2023, I decided to do the whole house remodel before selling it because of the age of the house and TLC it needed. The original contractor I hired ended up going to jail for child abuse charges and I had to find another contractor to finish the job. I got a number of quotes and decided to go with Donna from AND Contractors, LLC. It is very difficult to come into a project that somebody else started and the quotes reflected that but Donna’s estimate was fair and I felt comfortable in my interactions with Donna. Don't let the fact that a woman runs the business fool you - she is a real tough but fair boss. She was on the job site every day! She treats her people right but also lets them know when they mess up and they respect her for it. There were many things that were not visible but needed to be redone where the original contractor messed up but it was important to Donna that the corrections be made. I am sure there must be limits but all of these corrections were accommodated without change orders. The project was completed on time and within budget. Oh, did I mention Donna is also a real estate agent? When the project was completed, she listed the house at the highest price in the history of the neighborhood. I was hoping but not expecting it so it was a pleasant surprise when she brought me a full price contract within a few days! I HIGHLY recommend AND contractors, LLC and Donna! If you want your project done right, on time and within budget, you owe it to yourself to at least have her look at your project!"

"We have used S&J Painting and Remodeling many times over the past 5 years, most recently (spring 2025) for handyman services. S&J provide services for a full day, so we typically accumulate a few projects. Our most recent project included replacing two faucets, fixing a very loose banister, repairing a hole in the drywall, as well as a few basic jobs, hanging pictures and installing bathroom fixtures. I expected to paint after the drywall and banister were repaired, but they took care of it for me. When replacing one of the faucets they found the supply lines were old and rusty. They went to Home Depot, purchased new supply lines and installed them at no extra cost. While there they picked up some brackets to secure some other loose pipes they happened to see while in the utility room. We really appreciate the extra attention to detail and doing more than we even realized needed done. We are already accumulating new projects. Scheduling and workday communication is excellent."
