"We hired Bill to repair drywall after a ceiling leak, to replace a ceiling fan, and to install a new light fixture. After stopping by the house, Bill provided a timely and accurate quote. He communicated effectively via text about when the work would begin, his hours, etc. Bill went out of his way to match very old paint samples so that we didn't need to repaint the whole room. "I have hesitated to write this review because the company was supposed to send someone out to do a touchup the next time they were in my area, but they never came.  Since where the touch up is needed (a corner of the tub) isn't really noticeable to me, and as more and more time went by, I just let it go. This is the reason I downgraded "responsiveness" to a B. Otherwise I would have given an A grade because the men who did the work were excellent.
My advice: Don't pay immediately after the job is finished but wait for a bill. That way if something needs to be fixed, the company will have an incentive to send someone out. Since I had already paid in full, there was no such incentive.
I was surprised at the size of the exhaust hose that is used while the tub finish is being applied. Because my bathroom is small, the hose had to go down the front hall and out the front door. Fortunately, the weather was not cold. The finish had to cure before the rest of the work could be completed. The smell wasn't pleasant, but it was tolerable.
I don't remember if it was the next day or two days later that the wall surround was put up over the existing tile, the ceiling lined, and a new drain and new fixtures installed. The installer was a different man from the one who had applied the glaze. He worked very hard, as it wasn't an easy job, due to some irregularities in the bathtub tile area. He also screwed in the grip bars that had to be removed before the wall lining could go up.
All in all I was satisfied with the work, although the caulking that was used gets moldy, and the mold is hard to remove. The wall surround and ceiling, however, do not attract mold, hallelujah.  I thought the price was right. I'm glad I had the work done.

"Manny was very quick to respond. He stayed in contact with me during the week to ensure I understood what I was paying for and he wanted to ensure he understood what I was requesting. Communication was key for me because it showed he valued me as a customer and he wanted to do the job. The painters were right on time at 8:00 and did exactly what was needed. I needed 2 bedrooms painted and had some patchwork needed from shelving that was on the wall and a black design on a wall that needed covering up. While I wouldn’t say the job was perfect (there is some paint on the ceiling and baseboards, which I wish wasn’t there. I like even painting without smudges or runoffs from the edges) I’m not nitpicking. There was some cleanup left behind for me, but very minor. Very professional and nice and I’m glad I called! Will probably use again. I have 2 bathrooms and a bedroom next on the list."

"Refrigerate was large and heavy. During removal the men accidentally destroyed a ceiling fixture in the house foyer while attempting to move the SubZero by a hand dolly. I accepted this as the cost of removing the unit at my schedule.

"My home experienced flooding on a Sunday morning, and my condo association contacted KJS on my behalf. Kim and Steve (K and J) came to my house immediately (I believe there was still water draining from the ceiling). They set to work quickly, pulling up my carpeting, removing the pads, moving furniture. They finished the initial work within 4 hours and set up the fans and dehumidifiers before leaving. Steve returned later in the week to pick up the equipment and noticed that there was still some water in the walls (and gathered that there might be some additional in insulation that wasn't initially removed). He worked with my condo association to coordinate and came back out with his team to check my walls, remove any questionable insulation, and treat for mold. His team was fast and responsive. At one point, I even heard Steve telling other contractors the "story" of what had happened (and what had been done in response) as he had been there for so much of it! :)"
