I hired them to do landscaping and a driveway, my drive way is crumbling and have holes in it.

From start to finish, this felt like a partnership. SBC - and everyone they sent to do work - was fantastic. The designer listened and had great ideas, the masonry was beautiful, electric and plumbing were solutions oriented and I actually had fun selecting appliances. The final outdoor kitchen far exceeded our expectations and we are already trying to think of our next project with SBC.

SBC did a fantastic job building me a new deck and re-paving the patio area underneath. Justin was great in coming out to measure the area and discuss options for both the deck and the patio. Steve's teams did a wonderful job with the work itself. Everything was done exactly as stated and the end product was exactly what I had hoped it would be. The reason for this not being a 5 start review is two-fold. First, all of the work was scheduled at the last minute, with less than 24 hours notice of when the teams would be out to deliver materials or do the work. Luckily this didn't end up being an issue, but it could be difficult if you're trying to schedule explicitly around the project. Second is the difficulty in getting the final piece of work completed, for installing an exterior electric outlet. It took an extra month after the completion of all other work to get that done. If electrical work is required, I'd recommend contracting that externally to SBC.

SBC did great hardscape work for our neighbors, so we called them when it was time for us to have some work done. They responded quickly and provided a quote to replace a failing retaining wall and gave us options to rehab 2 patio areas full of rotting boards. As part of the work on the retaining wall, it became evident that our porch was a safety hazard and needed to be replaced. SBC immediately shored up the porch, and Steve worked with us to re-do the designs and reallocate materials to rebuild our porch, rehab the patios and keep the costs reasonable, including going the extra mile to get certified so that we could maintain the warrant on our roof. We now have a wonderful, maintenance-free outdoor space. We have a number of other outside projects, and SBC will be our first call.

The hardscape was installed in 2019. From the onset, there were problems with SBC and it's staff: problems with not following design (it is supposed to be a semi-circle - see photos) stairs that had to be rebuilt three times, wrong color posts, failed to insert the post sleeve-skirts, cap stones were not glued, plants were not properly spaced, major damage to my driveway, damage to my solar lights, dumping construction waste on my neighbor’s property, and a sales rep who wouldn't return my calls. The facade of the hardscape developed a major crack months after being built, and again in 2022 (twice within 3 years). SBC designed the hardscape so that all rainwater would be flowing to the front of the retaining wall, causing structural damage to the wall. The owner of SBC, Brad, was aware of the flaw and tried to correct this flaw by installing a drain in front of the wall, but the wall continues to crack. The drain should have been installed in the center of the hardscape, elevating pressure on the front retaining wall. This major project came with a 60-month warranty. However, because SBC wants to skirt its responsibilities, the owner no longer wants to make repairs, and NOW states there was only a 36 month warranty. This hardscape project cost nearly 30K, and in return, I received sub-par workmanship, poor quality, unprofessional conduct, and a patio that continues to crack. SBC did a fantastic job on my project. They far exceeded my expectations in all aspects. They communicated well, preformed the work in a timely manor and had great attention to detail. I will continue to use them for any an all outdoor projects and enthusiastically recommend them to my friends.

SBC was a breath of fresh air as compared to many of the contracting companies we have worked with, in the recent past, for services. Quality work at reasonable prices, and excellent customer service. Chris Pluemer, Landscape Designer with SBC was the absolute best, who designed a new deck for us based on a detailed meeting with us, and reviewed the HOA and County guidelines, producing several options and drawings for us before we signed a contract with SBC. He went over and above even before we chose to use SBC, including revising the first plans in accordance with feedback from our HOA. Other companies would not even generate drawings for us until we signed a contract with them, which was a problem for us, as we did not want to commit to a contract until we had a visual of the proposed design. Chris's design background was exceptional, and he went out of his way to make what could have been a very basic deck, a design that we have already received many compliments on. The crew was hardworking and personable, getting the job done efficiently and expertly, and the owner even came out to inspect the job personally after the job was done to inspect personally. We have given out their cards in our community, and would not hesitate to use their services again!

SBC tore up our old driveway and designed a new paver entranceway for my home! Great team and excellent communication - highly recommend!

The over all experience was fantastic! The owner was very friendly & he came out & gave us an estimate for the work that we wanted done. The crew was very professional & did a awesome job! Spoke with Brad, the owner, and he sent Grounds Maintenance Foremen Chip to look at the job that same day. I had an estimate that afternoon and it was extremely reasonable, especially since I had a short timeframe in which to have the work completed. They promised to be here one week later, showed up on time and expected to be working on the lot for two days, but completed the job the same day due to a looming large rain event. Chip and Brian worked very hard to get the job done in time. They did a fantastic job! I would rate SBC A++ if possible and will definitely have them back for more work.

Great company to work with.  We requested an estimate on a 6 foot privacy fence that would keep our dogs from getting out.
The estimate was by far the best out of multiple companies we talked too.  They started the job the same week and did an excellent job.  They worked with us in installing the fence the way we wanted so we wouldn't have to worry any more about our dogs getting out.  Everything was cleaned up when they left.  Very professional and efficient.  We hope to use them again in the spring for some landscaping we would like to have done.

They did a very good job on the hardscape patio. They did a good job on landscaping, but they didn't listen to everything that I requested.

i would say overall "the job was done"- not by the best of qualities but our grass did grow. Wish i didnt have to pay someone to have to do some extra work myself.
Seems like this company is better for the lawn maintanance like weeding and mowing the grass. Nothing wrong with that but not what we needed the services for.

I called, they Google Mapped my property, asked a couple questions and gave me a price right over the phone!
They came out to cut on the date and time they said they would and the property look beautiful.

Brad is super easy to talk with. He sent someone out in the same week. His prices are reasonable and the lawn mower was prompt and friendly. I also appreciated that prior to arriving, he was able to look at my house online via satellite and give me an estimate on the spot. Also when they could not get the mower through the gate of my fence, they were prepared with a push mower.
